I don't remember any, but I don't think clubs publicize their travel, so we only find out in Instagram photos. Since I don't have Instagram, I wouldn't know.
When I had met Ethan White at the bowling event this summer in August he said they hadn’t used any charters up to that point and weren’t planning on using any until playoffs.

columbus is not toronto though....can they still win? sure...but we wont be fully outplayed like last year

Listening to Blue City Radio, the Columbus analyst on the program reminded that both Artur and Josh Williams both got yellows in the knockout game and would miss leg 2 if they got a yellow tonight. Also, CLB has only one other CB on the roster (a rookie). Go hard at Williams and get that yellow card. Would be a big loss for 2nd leg.

Remember when we thought the same could be done with Bradley last year? Good times.

(I completely agree, it just reminded me of the thoughts we had before last year's game)

In fairness to everybody that said that last year, the team didn’t go after Bradley. They never tried to goad Bradley to commit a professional foul. It was tactical malpractice to ignore it.

Shit, the ONLY guy NYCFC has every bad that got under Bradley’s skin and forced him to foul was Mix. Mix would dribble right at Bradley and on the flip side would badger him like a terrier on defense. And when it happened, Bradley was as agitated and angry as a pre-teenage girl missing out on the One Direction concert tix.

Bradley (for all the crap he takes) >>> Josh Williams.

CBs take cards to stop counters. But then again, NYCFC’s pace of play is so slow, they never get isolated in space against CBs.

Nah we get isolated in space against CBs fine, it's just the referees never take their cards out for us ;)

Calling the nycfc loss now, PV plays with the roster too much and we go down 20 goals.

Gentlemen I have seen real attempts to be reasonable in this thread over the last few days, that is not the ethos of this forum, our first response should be to massively overreact in one direction. Then call that initial person a moron before massively overreacting in the opposite direction.

That's how this forum has been run and shall continue to be run.

God this is stupid. The only changes PV might make will be starting Mata or Lewis, either of which is good.

That wasn't even on the MLSsoccer.com page after the game. But checking it now he did receive a yellow card in the 112' minute. So Josh Williams, Artur, and Héctor Jiménez are all one yellow card away from suspension.

Nice article in today's NY Post.

I think everyone should check out their soccer coverage. They have real coverage of the team and the league, and it should be encouraged, supported and appreciated.

How last year’s playoff disaster forced NYCFC to shift mindset
By Kyle Schnitzer

Ahead of his second playoff go-around, New York City FC head coach Patrick Vieira has learned from the mistakes made during the team’s 7-0 aggregate embarrassment to Toronto FC last year. There won’t be any hesitance from his side this time.

* * *
Those “mistakes” included a number of odd player selections that backfired, while NYCFC punished themselves when they dropped the away leg, 2-0, digging themselves a hole before they even got their chance at Yankee Stadium. But this time around, Vieira vows they will stick to their script when NYCFC travel to Columbus in the first leg of the MLS Eastern Conference semifinals Tuesday night (8 p.m., ESPN).

* * *
While it would be shocking to see NYCFC without their starting wingers, Vieira said he won’t shy away from using his replenished bench, with all but defender Maxime Chanot at the ready. He signaled Ronald Matarrita, Jonathan Lewis and Tommy McNamara specifically as possible inclusions into his starting eleven, as all are able to play on the wing.
