The second of a two legged series against Atlanta...

1-0 sends it to extra time. +1 winning margin gets us to the next round (should we score 2 goals). Anything else and it's the offseason.

So basically we need to win.... and if we win 1-0... then we go to OT and we have to either get a 2nd goal and win or hold the 1-0 and go to penalty kicks

It's doable, but they better play a hell of a lot better than they did tonight.

Gotta score twice, at least.

Listen, we're a good team. But we've been blasted in nearly every road game for so long now, it's hard to be optimistic. But this team is more than capable of scoring twice.

This is almost a knockout game. Win and we're alive. Lose and we're gone. Let's get this W.

Oh god. 5pm means I can actually watch the game.
Prove me wrong, NYC. Please. Prove me wrong.

I fully expect Allen Chapman to be the referee for this match and hatched job NYCFC out of the playoffs. I'm still mad.

Atlanta’s got to win a trophy to validate them as the model franchise for MLS. It’s a Garber special.

Would be some pretty amazing shit if NYCFC somehow pulls off a win and advances, which would mean that the “darling” Atlanta United (OMG 50k fanzzzzzz) would end up eliminated in their first playoff home game in their building two years in a row.

Well the Sunday game was just very tough to watch from every perspective.
They played 3 games within a week that must had affected how boys and blue played last night.
Now they have 6 days to fully rest and boost the energy for this coming Sunday.
Really really hoping to see them at home again, but they have to win against Atlanta at their home...
I really don't know what to expect...

Everyone making excuses, but the real excuse will have to come on Sunday, after we see what the team is really made of. However, I don't expect a victory. If it does happen, we're gonna have to ball out in the conference finals game!

I'm flying home from an unrelated trip Sunday, scheduled Departure 5:38pm - Arrival 7:45. If on time, I guess the plane probably actually lands around 7:15 at LGA. There's no point buying in-flight wifi (unless I just want score updates) because it won't support video streaming. I should be home about 45 minutes after deplaning.

If you were in this situation, would you shut off notifications, and watch when you get home? Or check the score as soon as we land and try to get a stream up? I'm pretty sure I will go for the instant gratification but curious how others would handle.

Without a doubt I would avoid spoilers and watch it in full at home. I would want to see the full game, watch it comfortably, and avoid annoying service glitches.
