Worse, we don’t know if “final bracket four” is a typo. Or they just group the teams back into four more groups of four to be re-seeded again.
Why did you expect we would automatically play Louisville, and not DC or Philly?
Because our group of four was RB, NE, Louisville, so it’s a logical assumption that the winner of the two initial matches would then play each other.

I’m trying to make sense of what happened in previous years. Looks like f(dead)Cosmos and NJ didn’t play each other 2 years ago in round 4. There’s so little info to go on, it’s hard to figure.
I’m torn about going tonight. On the one hand, I don’t want to drag my lazy ass to NJ and likely have to watch U3 in midfield. On the other, I do enjoy watching soccer matches in a SSS, without a net.

Makes sense, but USOC matchups always have a Calvinball element.
They're redrawing the round of 16 in pots of 4, the round of 16 winners play the other winning member of their pot in the quarterfinals. The semi-finals will be drawn fresh, so how the winning quarterfinalists are bracketed is meaningless

If we see Isi, it surely won’t be for the whole match, I don’t think. He just played 80’ Saturday, and he would seem a lock to reasonable men to start vs. ATL.
We could see TMac up front with Villa and Lewis... I don't think you waste an Int'l spot on Berget.
