My wife just sent me that on instagram. Looks awesome. Wish i could get out to LI tonight. I'll be heading up to Equilibrium for the first time tomorrow, pretty pumped to check it out.
I’m waiting for my GF to get home from work. Then it’s do we drive 15 mins each way for it, or spend the last 2 hours of sunlight on the beach before the rains this weekend? Tough call.
I made the leap and went there before she got home. Only on tap. Pretty sweet. Very blue.
It was very sweet for a beer. Like candy/medicine. Looked more blue as I got down to bottom of the glass. Felt even stronger than 10% abv. Really hit me.
Bells two hearted is the most drinkable beer ever.
Delirium Tremens is the most delicious.
Deus is the beast you haven’t uncovered and shouldn’t because it is so magnificent as to make you think all other beers aren’t worth the calories.
ETA: I’ve drank deus two nights. The night I decided to propose to my now wife and the night I bought the ring. I had to buy a full bottle at Brick Cellar in DC both times. It’s a basement beer bar with a spectacular selection.
A bottle of Deus will run you close to $100. I think it was $85 back 7-8 years ago. But if you encounter it and haven’t had it, I’d say order up. It’s a bucket list experience of beer.
