Continuing the discussion here. Ancelotti as a coach was just bad for Bayern, and Müller was one of many players who just weren't happy under him. I don't necessarily put it all on Carlo, but going from Jupp and Pep nit picking and going over everything, breaking it down, etc. to the incredibly relaxed coaching of Carlo just didn't work. When Bayern hired Carlo, I'll admit I was excited because I thought he'd be the coach to get Bayern over the CL hump, but I was incredibly wrong. No idea why he didn't use Müller often or essentially at all for most of his time there. Understandable to believe Müller's worth may have declined, but that's mostly due to his use under Ancelotti.

Müller's vision and footballing knowledge is often overlooked, and he is one of the most fun players to watch. Seeing a lanky man who looks more like he should be answering calls for an insurance company rather than scoring wonderful goals and assists is incredible. I think he is finally rounding back into form under Jupp, which is awesome both for Bayern and Germany. The Raumdeuter (Space-finder) is back!

I also never believe English reports on Müller transfers since he's been linked to Man Utd. since before he was even born. His distaste at being on the bench is also gone now that Carlo isn't coach anymore, so I don't see a reason for him wanting to leave. But, a transfer to Liverpool would certainly be interesting and Klopp may be one of the only people to potentially draw him from Bayern. I'd think Müller would have a lot of respect due to the duels between Bayern and Dortmund in 2010-2013.

Also, thanks for getting James, Carlo. Only successful thing you did at Bayern.

Agree. On LFC , I haven’t heard anything else about that since then, so I would write it off.
