Chicago - Postmatch

Tough loss. Reserving my opinion on Dome for a few more games but that wasn’t the best use of subs by him.
If he learned anything from this one hopefully it’s that sweat shouldn’t start. Idk who would in his place but he cost us the game today.
We had a ton of shots, 18 I believe but very few on frame. I think with Villa in the game this one turns out differently because we really did control the game and took it to Chicago. Just couldn’t finish and find the back of the net.

Seems to me Chanot has been riding pine for a long time for a performance like Sweat’s today. I don’t happen to subscribe to the “Sweat is Useless” view but that was undeniably terrible. The issue is that we don’t have a LB who can defend.

Sweat is the worst player in MLS. Only because it’s unfair to call U3 a player.

They both fucking suck so hard.

But Sweat, for real, does not deserve to ever, ever, ever see the field for us. Play with 3 and put Callens over there.

Why am I like the only person who recognizes dog shit players like years before the fucking club? If we can’t do better than Sweat, fire the front office. If it’s the coaches who play him, fire them.

He’s utterly incompetent of playing fullback at a top level. There is no goddam story other than that. Get him out of the fucking lineup.

You guys all realize that Callens mistakes led to two goals and that’s the same amount as Sweat. They both fcked up on the same goal. I can admit Sweat fcked up tonight, but if you all want to put the blame on him and not Callens then you’re all full of shit.

Now let’s talk about how bad Medina is.

Callens gets hung out to dry to defend on his own about 30 times per game. It’s not a fair comparison, and you know are well aware of that.

But sure, we can talk about not playing Lewis. Apparently, he screwed Txiki’s wife.

What happens in other games has no bearing on this one. Callens got skinned twice, just as Sweat did. They were both equally to blame tonight.

Eta: in fact, blowing an offside trap that the other three players were pulling is almost worse because it was simple tactics that Callens couldn’t get right, whereas Katai’s skill is gonna beat numerous quality defenders.

Actually, no, CB’s are supposed to be the best manmarkers on the team. Callens went to ground before Katai even made his cut.
Dude, if he didn’t, he was scoring near post. It was total catch 22.

You’re being over the top obstinate if you don’t see that Sweat is the problem. Callens is probably the best CB in the league. Sweat, on the other hand, has never successfully defended anyone. Ever.

On something maybe even you will agree with, Gordon should have been yellow carded 4 times.

Sweat was part of the problem tonight. I’m not denying it and you’re puting words in my mouth because you will not admit that Callens, who is one of the best in the league, had an absolute howler and was responsible for 2 massive mistakes.

And you’re doubly spewing garbage because Sweat had a great match last week and very much defended players, and you admitted so after the match.

You have a vendetta against him and won’t ever give him a fair shake as anybody else, because if you did you’d also be slamming Callens tonight. In the RB match, you blamed Sweat, but it was Chanot that led to three goals. It’s always the same with you, no matter how bad any other defender plays, Sweat is always the problem.
