Haven't been able to get those points either. I un-followed then followed them both, no dice. Anyone have and luck with this?

I got the points for following them. I first connected my Twitter account, then unfollowed and followed. Pointed showed up a few minutes later.

I am a little confused. Some of the team's material says you have to be a seasoncard holder to join Cityzens and some says you do not? Which is it? I would love to join, but I am not a season ticket holder.

As a non-STH I'm a bit lost too. Out of curiosity I went to sign up to see what was what and when I tried to make an account I was told I already have one.

???????

So I did the lost password thing and to make a long story short I have some sort of account through Ticketmaster. I guess, because I bought tickets for the New England match. Anyway, on my account page there's no mention of points, auctions or any other info/perks STH's have access to.

It should allow you to watch out-of-market games through your Apple TV. That's a nice deal.
Exactly why I got it. I stream PL games all weekend to my Apple TV. Now I can do the same with MLS. Especially watching games at the Quakes new stadium.

Which material says you don't have to be a STH? The post on their site suggests that you need to be - at least for the time being: http://www.nycfc.com/post/2015/03/05/new-york-city-fc-unveils-cityzens-membership

Maybe ask @NYCFCHelp on The Twitters?
What confused me was this:
Cityzens is a membership program for our most engaged fans. Season ticket holders are automatically enrolled.

If it's just for STH, it should have said Cityzens is a membership program for season ticket holders only. It's not exactly inaccurate as it is, but it is at best unclear and at worst unintentionally misleading, because the marketing team prioritized the "engaged fans" buzzwords over clarity.

It says that each member gets the welcome package that STHs received. I doubt they'd be sending those to any random who signs up.

Got a response from the staff at Cityzens on the Twitter problem:

"We are having some technical difficulties with Cityzen member receiving points for connecting to Twitter and retweeting. We are working to get this solved as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this problem."
