Cityzens Portal

Nothing. It just seems to be in limbo until the work out whatever it is their working out. It completely baffles me that this is such a problem for them. YOU ALREADY HAVE THE FUCKING SYSTEM IN PLACE FOR A MUCH BIGGER CLUB!

Really. Is the Twitter API different in America than it is in the UK?

Or, it's a cool system to give back to season ticket holders. I get a meet and greet with the team after the game, which is really cool! I don't care if they know what I'm drinking at the game.
Yes you are rewarded, but just be aware your being profiled for future use.the latest at city is swipe in early at the match for points spend more money before the game.your future contact from the club will dependcon your spend.promotions and offers will be offered on what information you feed back in.

Anyone have a clue how anyone has more than 550 points at this point? The Auctions are at 560..

Honestly it's a pretty solid move on CFG's part. Collect this data for 15k+ season ticket holders, aggregate the data over the season and sell that user data to brands where I'm sure we'll be offered "Special Promotions" or whatnot. Actually pretty impressive that they are so far ahead of the game here vs. other professional sports teams.

Connecting your twitter account gets you 25, and if you hashtag NYCFC, you get five points. You also get a certain amount for buying crap at the NYCFC shop.

Pretty much what Hoosier said.

I have 560 and that's because 50 from connecting twitter and 5 x 2 for mentioning the club and using the hashtag. I should have over 600 though. I'm missing 50 for following the club and 5 or 10 a day for twitter.

We have cityzens over at mcfc .its basically a way of profiling you as a fan and finding out which offers ,promotions to aim at you to relieve you as much money as possible. Whilst rewarding you with rewards .going forward you will swipe in at games to find out what time you turn up what you eat drink etc .and what you spend in the club store basically your being profiled

It is 100% both. It's a method of data aggregation similar to a Grocery discount card. They want to know what you like so that they can create a profile on you.

"Doctor Hoosier comes to Weekend games and buys scarves in the spring. He's on the fence for season tickets next year. Perhaps we call him up, offer him a weekend 9 game package, and throw in a couple of scarves."

That's what data can do to sell tickets. It's a critical component of maximizing the value of your club, and that's what the program does best.

Still, though, I'm freaking pumped about getting my MLS Live subscription for free. I was buying that shit anyway, so it's like a $70 discount on that season ticket.

The MLS Live subscription is for all out-of-market games - all of them not on National TV (ESPN, Univision, etc). So LA vs San Jose on the local network, I get to watch live through my Apple TV.

I used it a lot last year, and found it to be worth the $55 bucks I paid for it. They raised the price, so getting it for free was a major coup.

Again, I'm uneasy about the data collection, and will NOT be linking my Twitter. I at least would want them to go through the work of searching for my Twitter profile if they're wanting to track my feelings on the club.

Over in the UK all live EPL games are mainly. On sky or BT sport which you have to pay for .you only get to see highlights on match of the day on BBC TV if you don't pay up.
Do you have android phones over in the states ? If you do there are free apps on there 'probably illegal that give you free access to all the us sports channels for free on your phone even in the uk

Spot on for me too. I'm a Quakes fan and was going to buy Live as well.

I've asked both Dunn and Wingert about the meet and greet after the game, and neither of them seemed like they knew anything about what was going on, and both said they didn't know if they would be there. I hope players actually go, and I also hope the club doesn't wait to tell the players about it and then make them go after the game.

Funnily enough, the Yankees are now doing something very similar to cityzens via their legacy club. Just got an email today for it. Same as this, link social media, earn points by going to games, etc.
