Montreal showing very well for themselves for their first regular season game.

Just scored in Pachuca, Mexico. That's at altitude. Shocking. Lead 1-0

I'm watching. The Pachuca kids are running all over the field. Ciman's presence in defense is massive. Duka has looked great. And CONCACAF refs ftl.

Pachuca is really trying to get an equalizer before half. Montreal tiring a little maybe?

Yea. Even though they've been in Mexico for a while, it seems like the altitude is kicking their ass.

That was fucking stupid on Cabrera's part. He got sucked into the middle and left the crosser wide open. Ciman and Busch should have had better communication.
And ffs I have better touch than Oduro.

Fatigue setting in.

The timing of CCL and the altitude are such huge advantages for Mexico...

They think they're going to play the second leg in Montreal next Tuesday? LOL

It'll probably still be -10 degrees F there...

Montreal should have the advantage there. You guys get the altitude along with Concacaf refs, well MTL got "It's fucking cold's " dad.

Anyone who watched the match live want to give an opinion as to how NYCFC would have done last night against Pachuca? I just saw the highlights but Montreal seemed to be impressive considering this is essentially preseason and they were playing at altitude against a top Mexican side.

btw, those Pachuca shirts look like a bad joke. I mean, they couldn't find any additional room for some more sponsors???

Well Montreal has been taking CCL very seriously with their friendlies in Mexico. They came out totally focused and caught Pachuca by surprise. Pachuca was only able to come back when Montreal tired. Montreal would have won that game if the subs came in soon.

NYCFC has not needed to be that focused. I think Kreis even said that vs OCSC we lacked intensity. Pachuca would have likely beaten NYCFC because our D would not have been able to handle that late pressure.

How about we win the supporters shield/MLS cup/U.S. Open and go find out how we fare?!

How do teams get into this? What did Montreal win?
