CONCACAF Gold Cup 2017

I remember hearing the announcers say towards the end of the game that Blake had gone for some scans/ X-rays which came back negative, so it looks like he may not have broken anything... somehow. Maybe just some sort of sprain or dislocated finger (or two)?
Beaten to the punch. Yeah, maybe two dislocated fingers. But with it puncturing the skin, I would imagine some sort of surgery would be required.

This opinion is firmly rooted in my knowledge of medicine, which is roughly equivalent to Grabavoy's effectiveness at NYCFC.

I don't think he saves either, honestly. And the other keeper was pretty strong.

I was very surprised that they said initial X-rays on Blake were negative.

I wonder about the free kick, which was very well taken but not very well defended.

If it's just a dislocation, then the healing time and perhaps long term effects will depend on how long it took to get things back into place.*

Hard fought win. Jamaica looked pretty good this tournament. Hard to imagine that they didn't even make it to the Hex...

Pretty psyched that a Gold Cup victory was my first live USMNT game! Hopefully not the last trophy I watch them lift in my lifetime.

Sounded on TV like there were quite a few Mexican fans at the match?

I heard several pretty audible "P*to" chants

There were thousands of Mexico fans. I'm assuming tons bought tickets assuming Mexico would be in the final. Some rooted for the US, some rooted for Jamaica. All in all everyone was having a great time.

Levi's is an AWFUL stadium. Everything about it is terrible. $50 parking, $14 beers. I went to the very first event there years ago which was a Quakes game. The quality of the field has not improved one bit. Of the three times there, this was my best experience, but still bad.
