The US men beat GB last night and Korea beat Japan, taking them into the semifinals. Playing Canada tomorrow morning at 6am local time. This is the one time of day I won't be able to watch it live which sucks. I don't mind staying up until 2:30am (such as last night) or so if they play the midnight draw.

The women just lost to Sweden and were eliminated.

    1:35am tomorrow night/Saturday morning

Also, interesting note, in the same day, the US beat Canada in both curling and hockey.

USA was a 20/1 underdog to win gold in men's curling at the start of the Olympics

Shit, the USA is gonna win gold, the country will go crazy with everybody hustling to build local curling rinks, a pro league develops in a year, and the local Amazon sponsored KnickerCurlers grab the Realestate location NYCFC has been eyeing because they have 55k STH reservations and plan a 70k seat rink out at Willets.

Where can I order a KnickerCurlers jersey? Couldn't seem to find one.

We are now doomed to lose Willets. Although I assume the Curling Arena will have amazing beer selections since it’s natural synergy for a brewery to be associated with a sport called curling, so at least there’s that.

Well the good thing is that there is actually an ice center in the works that will include dedicated curling ice.

They are renovating the Kingsbridge Armory into a massive ice complex and it is now slated to be ready in 2021.

But as in most things real estate related in NYC, this project has had its massive political issues. It was originally due to be completed in 2017, but lots of red tape has prevented construction from even starting until now.

By the way, the US mens gold medal team will be in Bryant Park today from 2-5pm . There will also be a separate mini-bonspiel happening in the park (they are not playing in it).

They are also ringing the opening bell at the NYSE tomorrow morning.
