I wasn’t able to watch the second half of the game but it feels good to be back to winning ways. Glad villa got his 400, maybe he’ll be a bit more selective with his shots.
Looking forward to hearing what everyone thought. Likely watching second half replay when the game is up or the condensed at the very least.

Sean Johnson came up big on a couple of saves, and luckily Dallas isn't the best at finishing, especially Colman.

Seemed like there were stretches of the game where we dominated, and then stretches were we had huge gaps in the midfield, and struggled to connect from back to front. Especially cause it seemed like Maxi and Herrera were making terrible passes.

Very happy Ring got out of that game without a yellow card. But I fully expect him to get one against NJRB.

Ibeagha stepped in nicely for Chanot

Not the prettiest, but its a good win.

Villa scoring seconds after being carded for running his mouth was a thing of beauty.

Johnson being carded for time-wasting before an hour's even gone (for the second time this year) is moronic. I guess this is a point of emphasis this year or something, but for fucks sake just add a minute at the end and leave the card out of it. Two yellows already and he drew two all of last year.

I thought Dallas actually played pretty well, they attempted to counter with long balls and speed. Also was pretty terrified when Mauro Diaz came on, he had one or two of his seeing eye long through balls.

With better finishing and not some ridiculous saves by Sean Johnson, and some Villa magic and a fortuitous handball, Dallas could have gotten out with a point at least.

We all need to applaud Johnson, looks like the Portland game was an aberration.

By the way, that was former MLS Defender of the year Hedges that Villa toasted for his goal.

Also how delicious was that Villa through ball to Maxi? Shame that wasn’t a goal.

Herrera’s passing was.... ummmm not good tonight

Herrera didn't play well at all today.
Moralez is a god
Urruti's ponytail is a thing of beauty, i'm sad we didn't get to see more of it :(

I thought Berget had a decent game, but I think we should see what lewis can do there.

Also, in terms of seating, I sit in 202 (the bleachers) and aside from the lack of backs to the seats, the view is very very good so consider that. (It's netless as well!)

How did we feel about PV's subs?

I'd generally rather have Maxi in the middle and/or with his free-ish role than be pushed out to the wing in an attempt to have Ring, Herrera and Ofori be our midfield three. That said, maybe PV felt that Dallas was hitting the mids a little too hard and that we needed more physicality in there.

I will say, after Villa came off it was a hilarious visual treat to see Maxi "Tiny Dynamite" Moralez occupying the #9 slot.

Ouch -- missed it live, but that back pass by Yangel leading to the FCD goal was brutal.

He's gotta get his head straight if he wants to make a legit jump to reach his potential. In my eyes, he's just been off this year and it seems to be all mental.

Maxi Moralez is fast becoming an iconic NYCFC player. If he isn't already. Best player on the park today by far, again.

Herrera is a goddamn liability. The leash is short.

The next home game is on May 19th. It's going to be warm, people. We did it.
