DC - Postmatch

Defense continues to be really disorganized at times, and it is costing us.

It will be interesting to see us with Herrera back in the starting lineup.

Remember, Dome said the regular season means nothing.... it’s about the playoffs..... but we’ve got zero momentum and look like a fragmented JV team.... we look as bad as a Kreis-led team.

Let’s hope maxi is healthy. And we get our best midfield back next match. Hope amagat never sees the pitch ever again. We got help from NJ and Orlando. So loss wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Goal also helped for GD.

Draw at home and we’re probably playing Columbus or Montreal. I’ll take it.

Then we get demolished by the Red Bulls in the playoffs. That will be insufferable.

I don’t think so. With a healthy Yangel were much better. And dome and achtually coached us well vs NJ. Much better than PV did. We also wouldn’t have to travel. If that’s the case, bring em on! But we NEED to draw or win next week first.

Wow, you’re in a mood.

I saw a much better team with amagat off the pitch. I just hope dome is smart enough to go back to 433 with our starters from beginning of the season. (Sweat/mata is pick your poison). And I think we’re a 60 point team again. Especially at home. Back to basics and stop being so damn smart please. But mix it up w NJ bc they have our number otherwise.

The team is playing great. The greatest of performances, the best players. I mean lots of people tell me they've never seen anything like this. SO MUCH WINNING.

Dome Torrent has taken NYCFC from that awful Patrick Vieira and made them the BEST team! People say Amagat is the best in the league and Dome brought him to the team! Those who say otherwise are FAKE NEWS!

But Dome will not start PV’s 4-3-3, in his mind he wants amagat as a box to box 8, Mata is an inverted winger, Berget is a hold up striker and Ring is an offensive midfielder. He’s hopeless.

I'm hopeful that adding Maxi, Maxime and a Yangel start makes a difference.

During the broadcast Ian Joy scored points for ripping Elii and gave them all back by wondering why TMac not getting more playing time...

We can't string together passes. We get to the goal and just stand there unable to shoot. Unbearably bad. However, once yangel came on I thought we played nicely. Defense is atrocious. The amount of times they just dribbled right through our defense is insane.

Difficult to evaluate where in the spectrum between awful and abysmal our play today should rank, because DC clearly took its foot off the gas after being up 2-0 in less than 20 minutes. Maxi's absences, rare as they are, are always tragic. He's the brains of this team and clearly our season MVP.

Let's now take a moment of silence for a season that started with an authoritative win away at SKC. We look like a team that would struggle to bring a point back from ORL or COL. Today the damn NJ Cows brought 3 points back from Philly, and we're 15 points behind them and pretty much in a jumble of mediocrity with teams that I, personally, don't rate much (that includes DC, which got a lucky point but looked awful against us in YS a month ago). ATL and NJ are at a different level. This is MLS so everything is possible, but we're still trending down and that is the only pacey trait we have.
