Does anyone sitting behind the netting want to collaborate on a letter to Patricof, et al?

Yikes, I didnt realise it was even at the halfway line.

A new stadium cant come soon enough

I have a perfect solution. Why don't we have a pop up section of seats that comes through the ground on to the field. This will create a stadium inside a stadium!

Have we been given a clear answer as to why the nets can’t come down and be put up again? I mean it doesn’t look like rocket science, if it’s just a time (and unless it takes more than 72 hours which is absurd) or $ issue then it shouldn’t happen.

I signed even though it's against my own interests, as it clearly (pun intended) makes 103 the better side to watch a match (Which I always thought anyway). #unity

I talked to my reps today, and there were a few things to highlight:

1 - I was asked if I’d rather have some sort of compensation or get new tickets.

2 - I was given the line about ‘we are working hard on a stadium’ and told about the Harlem Yards RFEI. The interesting part was that it was said the reps are intentionally kept in the dark about stadium progress.

3 - the reps are asking for pictures from the seats during the next game.

4 - it sounded like they are a little overwhelmed with the negative response and are trying to get back to everybody. Hopefully we are making a decent point.

Otherwise, I can’t believe that NYY fans who pay 100x the amount per season for the same obstructed seats could be happy with this change. I think they’ll be pissed when the view still sucks even though the poles are down.

It's much more of a concern in baseball than soccer. In baseball, there are hundreds of these injuries per season. Real Sports with Bryant Gumble about netting at baseball games. It's not something you want until it's you or something your with at that game with a ball coming at 90+ mph right at your face/body and you can't react to it.

The obvious answer is NYCFC needs their own soccer stadium not baseball stadium...
Since this happens, they have to get themselves together, find a place to build, and own a stadium.

Just my thought...

That's corpo bs to kick the can down the road and act dumb... There were at least 2 premium services reps (Molly & Chris) in my section talking to people last home game. They are well-aware that it sucks.

Pulled the same bs tactics when the game moved to Hartford: "great way to try out a new view"... every view is a new view that doesn't translate because its not a baseball stadium....

Not sure why we haven't thought about that yet... someone get a hold of the FO A$AP

Next week will be the first game I go to since they put the nets up, and I’m front row behind the goal, so I’ll definitely have the nets in the way. Will be interesting to see how it is for soccer, but for baseball I’ve sat behind the nets on the first and 3rd base line and it wasn’t really an issue for me. That being said I know I’ll be pissed that there’s something in front of me that doesn’t need to be there, so I’ll definitely be contacting my rep for some sort of compensation. Relocation makes zero sense since I doubt there are any available seats that are as good as the ones I have (without the netting of course).

Posting this here as well as the season ticket thread...

I sat behind the netting in section 14a for the first time (first row) on Saturday and I can definitely see that it’s annoying af. The one positive is that I can look at my phone and eat with my head down and know I’m not gonna get nailed in the face with a ball, but it’s still quite distracting. Gonna look at potentially moving (dream would be section 103 first row but not holding my breath). The fact I’m in the first row on the aisle on the pitch, and now I have this ridiculous net to deal with for soccer is awful.
