Expansion Rumors Megathread

Second city should be Sacramento. If not Sacramento should quit and flip the bird to MLS on their way out.

Seriously, what else do they have to do?

Also what are we calling Atlanta Nashville derby? Hillbilly Derby?
I'm thinking the chaotic ownership group behind Sacramento is what is holding them back.

Nashville is a Top 5 destination city in the US behind NYC, Miami, LA and Las Vegas. I love it that much. The 3 blocks along Broadway are amongst the best 3 blocks in the United States. It's an easy flight from NYC.

I have to imagine they are coming into the Eastern Conference?

I love Nashville, but I'm not certain I would go as far as it being a Top 5 destination city in the US. You're leaving out Chicago and San Francisco there (and my personal fave, New Orleans). But either way, I agree with your overall point, its a very attractive city and a ton of fun (I visited there twice over the last year) and the tourism there is booming.

Broadway is a fantastic strip, rivals Beale and Bourbon IMO.

Big Chicago fan. Lot of traffic and crappy airports. Good calls on New Orleans and San Francisco. I find both of them to be utterly disgusting outside of a few locales. But certainly right there with NYC and Miami.

I'm actually not that big of a fan of Miami myself, but to each their own.

Schwallacus Schwallacus I'm a huge fan of Seattle, never been to Portland, but would love to visit. San Diego is another favorite of mine.

Pacific NW is stunning. Not for everyone. You have to really want to live there.

Most beautiful place I've ever been is Aspen this past January. I finally understood what it was like to live like LionNYC LionNYC lol

Miami with an expense account is great. Otherwise, to have fun, its unaffordable. I would never travel there on my own dime.

San Diego has perfect weather. I don't think anyone actually works there. When I was there last, I could swear the whole city had taken the week off

Situation has been resolved.

"Garber said Sacramento, seen as the other favorite, is MLS ready. "They have some things to finalize with their ownership that I think would make them optimum," Garber said. "We've said for many years there's a great level of support for the game in Sacramento and I think there's great interest in joining Major League Soccer."

Jeez, Meh Whitman was in, then out, then back in, now out again?
It's chaotic alright.
