Expansion Rumors Megathread

Did they even officially announce when their first season is? Wthout that it means nothing IMO.

I wouldn’t go that far:

“Marcelo Claure says they will begin in 2020 without a stadium and 2021 with the new stadium. Venue to be determined for 2020 but lots of options.”

Florida International University would be a decent temp stadium.

Born in NYC, but raised in Miami for my formative years (big Dolfan). Most of my family are still down there. Anything Miami will always have a soft spot for me.
Sounds like myself. Miami Fusion season ticket holder here.

The Fusion would have been my team had I not moved back to NYC in 1996. I entertained the thought of following them while in NY but did not want to have another long-distance relationship with a team.

Heat are red and black. Panthers are red and black. Marlins are multicolored but the orange is dominant. Dolphins are orange and teal

It's AQUA and Orange for the Dolphins ,though Miami FC seem to come very close to that so I don't think MLS Miami can. White and black could be Juve or NewCastle style stripes but for some reason first thing I pictured was Fulham..

Given some of the investors involved, I would not be shocked to see a corporate team name, a la RBNJ. Miami Sprint FC or maybe Sprinter Miami.

Just kiddingv with that last one.

Not really.

I'm expecting a color scheme like this:

They've used blue in the past, hopefully they add a splash of pink.

panthers have never been red and black. They were blue, red and yellow originally. Now they are red, gold, and cream. Heat were red and white primary. black was a more a recent development. and marlins were teal originally.

So sort of related to this.........

I went to a US Open Cup match in Miami in 2017 (Miami FC lost to Cincinnati in the Quarterfinal).

So I bought a home white Miami FC shirt when I was down at the stadium. I bought one for each of my sons as well. They love these shirts.

I CONSTANTLY get compliments when I wear the shirt.

People are always asking me if it’s the new kit for the Miami MLS team (just goes to show you how much support Mismi FC and NASL get around these parts).

Today at the gym I was wearing the jersey and this kid who looked about 18 years old asked me if I was a coach for the Miami team (I’m not sure if he knew it was a NASL Miami FC shirt or he thought it was Miami MLS).

I’ll finally get to the point- Miami MLS has a big job in front of them making a better home white kit than Miami FC-people really dig this shirt.
