Seems like a tough week. A couple DGW, but they all have tough matchups. I tend to lean on certain players, but I have a few guys in this week I normally shy away from.

Toronto has 2 games this week and 2 more next week -- they have to be doing some rotations.

10 DGW players plus Jack Harrison. I can't bear to transfer him out...

I was too conservative in the number of DGW players I chose last time (4 I think?) but I am worried that it won't yield the same payoff this time. I have Jozy up top among other DGW players this time. But, barring injury, should I even expect him to start both games this week? He rests one so he can play one next week?

Thanks Sabo Sabo for pointing out their schedule, I hadn't noticed Toronto was also DGW back to back

I thought I captained Giovinco this week, who already has two goals. My captain is actually Jozy. Fuck me.

Well, I went with an all-DGW starting XI. So far both Altidore and Larin (C) have bagged assists, but I'm getting bitten by rotation with neither Kljestan or Will Johnson starting. Ah well.

Midas taking the DNP for the week. A-fucking-gain.

Next time I convince myself I actually want to play fantasy sports, remind me I fucking loathe it. I think I must get my fantasy fix from FUT. In theory, I want to do this and I even have the requisite knowledge (as evidenced by my strong performance in the MLS Show prediction leagues, where I regularly best so called MLS Fantasy experts). I just get annoyed with fantasy. Either you get the same number of games as everyone else competing for that week or else limit the transfers. This weird hybrid structure can't keep my attention. It's a pain in the ass and not particularly fun. There's no room for strategy beyond follow the meta and try to guess correctly with some fucking scrub ass defender or who you captain.

It's fine. Just not for me. I think if I felt that the parameters were actually challenging my strategic prowess in some way, I'd be more mentally engaged. Apparently, despite my initial contention otherwise, the money alone is not enough to make me remember to give a damn about it. I actually thought about the DGW yesterday, but I consciously chose to read an old Big Soccer thread about some guy I'd never heard from the Swiss 2nd division rather than go face the chinese checkers mindfuck that is the UI of this horribly administered competition. I'm weird. I know. But this fantasy game is just shit for me.

At least you picked him. Last couple seasons he was a must have. or whatever reason, since his injury at the beginning o this season, I keep resisting selecting him. As though his first brace wasn't evidence enough that he's back

I do kind of hate the unlimited transfers. I have to assume they decided that the Draft Kings model was "better" than the FPL model.

I don't hate the unlimited transfers as much as I thought I would -- where they really screwed up is in the valuations. Everybody should have started with an $85-$90M budget. In a few weeks there wont be any starting lineup decisions I make based on a limited budget.

My captain scored two goals last night, I had another player with two goals, and I had two shutouts, and a midfielder with an assist.

And yet, because everyone else has the same players, my round rank is still around 3,000.

Unlimited transfers is stupid.

The number of inactive teams has got to be north of 50% given Giovinco is owned by 31% of teams.

I had 73 points, ranked 2576 and lost ground in 8 of 10 leagues!

Going into today I have Fehlhaber and 13 points against your Harrison. It would be awesome if you won this round.
The other difference is I have Medranda captained. I'm guessing you Gave Seba the C. Another shutout by KC in Minnesota would help, but I'm not sure how likely it is. I didn't Captain Giovinco because I correctly guessed he would sit out a game, but he scored so much in the one it still seems like a mistake.

You are right -- it might not be that awesome to lose to you if Fehlhaber sits.

I totally blew the Toronto rotation. With Altidore's history of hamstring issues I figured he would sit for the away game on turf and Giovinco would sit the following game.

I got four SKC defenders and Jack Harrison still to play today. Really need the SKC defenders to start and hold a clean sheet at Minnesota which I think they can do.
