No clue why we have a fantasy week for only 3 games but I guess that's also why we have unlimited transfers. My question to you all is do you take the loss this week and not dump players you have at lower prices?
I think I'll wait and see if they increase prices drastically on guys like Wallace/Martinez.
I guess at the same time $2-$3 increase for an entire team isn't that much.

Hmm, I don't think players' prices matter with unlimited transfers. Prices increases or decreases happen before they open the transfers at 9 AM and won't change for players that don't play during this round. So, say Wallace goes from $7.5 to $7.7. You'll have the benefit of the $0.2 increase in your bank when you have to buy him again next round. However, if the players you pickup drop in price, then that will effect your bank for next round.

Thanks for the heads up. Play it like a normal round then.

This should go in the clown show thread. This is really, really dumb.

A good test to see how many people sign up and then stop playing right away - about 75% of teams still have a keeper on bye right now.

And looking at Transfer In - everyone who *is* still engaged will pretty much have the same rosters.

It's a good opportunity to jump ahead on points despite only losing out on minimal value with dropping guys that 'might' go up in value.

Doesn't look like a lot of people took this week seriously. Think a good amount played it as a bye week which after some consideration doesn't make sense. My lineup last week had $1.7 in the bank so unless all those players went up a combined $1.7 I can field the same exact lineup next week. At least 4 of my starters this week will be fielded next week so I don't see that happening.

The players you had last week, and are not presumably playing this week, cannot go up or down in value. Any player who does not play in any given week -- regardless of whether his team plays -- retains the same value that week. You could only lose out if the players you select this week go down more than your 1.7 cushion. Bottom line is I agree.

Wondering why people skipped this week then. Do they go up in value following this week for next week? That's really what I was getting at. Going up in value based on week 3 performance. So when you draft them next week they cost more.

At the end of every round of play, player values are adjusted based on how the players performed that week. This is usually between Sunday night and Monday morning. Transfers are locked until this process completes so you cannot make trades based on the old values. Values then remain unchanged until the next round of play ends again.

I think you're placing way more emphasis on player/team value than most people. I'd imagine a lot of people skipped this week because either they already had players playing or they're super casual and bye-weeks mean lack of engagement.

Red Bulls shit the bed today against a weakened RSL lineup. Fuck. And I chose the wrong New England defenders fuck.
If RB doesn't get an own-goal gift, they don't win. Conversely, if they hadn't have been the beneficiary of two previous own-goal gifts, they'd be sitting on only 3 points after 4 games. How soon before their overlords figure out Dax made that team and the brain trust that got rid of him is held accountable?

Edit- sorry, prob should have gone in the MLS week 4 thread rather than here but LionNYC LionNYC made me think of it.

I literally made practically every wrong decision in the choice pairings I created for myself. Damn you, rules, for only allowing 4 players per team. Whacked out my whole strategy and sent me into a spiral of second guesses that led to my bed soiling.

I'm a little surprised that my score for round 4 is 30 points above average, and yet my league rankings are entirely red arrows.
There are tons of folks who aren't playing already, didn't make any lineup changes and had mostly zeroes.
