Guess The Attendance 2018 - NYCFC vs. Orlando (March 17)

That's just horrible... There's no excuses. The weather was good and the team is playing their ass off.

Today a former Delta fan and friend called me to see if I had an extra ticket to sell him . He was unable to get a ticket at Delta. I am a Delta season ticket holder since the firs season and it is a section that has never been 100% full!

I don't get it , why it was sold out ? Delta as usual was half full.I have a feeling we are being conned! y By whom ??Any rational ideas please share it . the Stadium did not even looked like 18,584 fans attended.

I'm guessing people were celebrating St Patrick's day instead ?

I figured it was a combination of factors
- Lot of folks choosing to stay in the city for St Patrick’s day
- A lot of families other than the die hards staying away because it’s pretty cold
- A lot of the expats hitting the bars early for the finale of the 6 nations Rugby and staying out drinking
- A lot of folks wanting to avoid the trains due to all the 18 years olds puking every where and everyone else avoiding driving due to all the drunks out

Damn. I missed this week's competition. I would've won my first week ever. I can always tells when it's going to be a crazy light day based on the amount of pals saying they have 2-3 available etc... Seemed like everyone was out.

I expected the crowd to stink. I didn't think it would be that bad. It was like Red Bulls bad.

true, or people want to avoid the city during St. Patrick's Day weekend
You're not the only one to say this, but I don't think it's likely. The holiday is not that big a deal on life in the city. Stay away from 5th Avenue, and don't go into bars, and St. Pat's day will have no effect on you. You'll see a bit more green, and some more public drunkenness, but not in a way that impinges on you. It's not "stay home and board up your windows" time.

fans in the city might not be fazed, but those outside the boroughs might

edit: for instance, I live on LI and would normally prefer to take the train, but decided to drive instead because I didn't want to deal with drunkards on the train
