Hidden gems of life

Ever tried pizza that's aged in the refrigerator overnight, refried on both sides in olive oil with a couple of eggs on it?

Those Biscoff cookies that Delta (and maybe some other airlines), serve on flights. You can buy them in stores, but I never do, so I have something to look forward to when I fly. Plus I think I'd get tired of them if I had them more often.

"I'd like an apple juice and the cookies, please. Thank you sky-waitress." Good stuff.

A super fresh less than a week old craft beer particularly if it's an IPA.

If you like IPAs the best tip I've found is to pick by brew date rather than brand. Just narrow it down to the breweries you know produce good beer and pick whichever one on the shelf was brewed most recently and that's the one that will taste the best.

Or, do yourself a favor and drink Golden Monkey.

Damn sure burned out on IPAs by now, and always enjoyed a Belgian trippel more anyway.

That said, I will use this advice when circumstances warrant.

That works too, never have to worry about any of the shelf stability issues of other styles when you go the Belgian trippel route, stuff just gets better with age.

Eating food you normally wouldn't eat in airport situations is surely a gem.

ETA: ah shit, but not particularly hidden.
