Mata out. Khiry out. Ring playing. Pirlo out indefinitely.

Expect Mata next week and Shelton towards the end of June. Shelton not close.

We loose Herrera just in time for our most congested part of the schedule, that happens to coincide with injury problems.

On the plus side the season's only roughly half over and we shouldn't be getting screwed by international duty much anymore. Its entirely possible we can mount a second half of the season charge to the top of the table.

So we should just put nobody out there?

well the experiment was throw in brillant and push sweat up to LM.....but i dont think thats happening again.

there is no one the play there really if you want to try Camargo there even though he plays on the right.

OR ......you want throw lewis in there just for speed ....i dont know how good/ bad he is at getting back in defense to help.

I think he meant as a starter.

The point being that it's not enough to say you don't want a particular guy to start at a position. You have to say who you think should be there instead. The choice is not TMac or nobody. It is TMac or Camargo or Lewis. I am perfectly fine with the guy who started there last year.

just that tmac to me is not a LW at all...thats the issue....if he is expected to track back on the left we are in for a long night....hes too slow.

we got burned in the orlando home game.

of course we can change formation to have him in there but i dont know if PV will do that.

Third option is Okoli in the middle with Villa on the left (floating). Last game he moved outside a ton to get the ball and also sometimes tracked back to defend (not a ton but way more than normal). It could be a bit of a hybrid 433 with some overload to the middle on occasion.... but just do not make Okoli drift to the outside or it'd be a waste of a player/position.

"Wednesday’s game came too soon for Ronald Matarrita but the Costa Rican international is off the injury list and could be in line to make his long-awaited return following his high ankle sprain injury"
I doubt Mata is 100% fit yet, and we're lacking at the attack, so maybe keep Sweat at LB and put Mata at LW? Take away a bit of his defensive responsibilities and let him put his speed and dribbling to use in the attack.

Matarrita is not match fit. I was told he wasn't starting. I assumed that to mean he wasn't playing, but he is not match fit.
