I've never seen Lewis play anywhere except wide. He may drift into open space more centrally from time to time, but that's far different from starting there.

You'd be better off putting Jack in the central area, but I doubt PV would do it.

Lewis is too slight and inexperienced to handle the middle of the pitch.

ETA: And now I see many others have registered this same complaint. So yeah! That goes double for me! Or something. Frankly, I would live with anything that leaves out Ucubed and Sal.
I can agree with the Lewis comments but he has done well he needs to be in the 18

I'm honestly expecting the absolute worst here.

I think we're going to loose and loose badly.

I also think Mata might be a few weeks out from getting back on the team. We need him badly.

Interesting article. I am getting the feeling that Pirlo will come in off the bench, but I would prefer that he start with Ring next to him and Yangel up front helping to press the Sounders, who have been vulnerable to it.
Given how sensitive Pirlo appears to be about playing time, I was thinking that PV wouldn't suggest that he may start him and then not start him. That's just salt in the wounds. Though PV doesn't care that much about sensitivity so I could be wrong.

Seattle is extremely vulnerable to a high press. Therefore if Vieira is smart he'll start anyone but Ucubed or Pirlo

I think Seatlle has played below the talent on their team for some reason. They have a good to very good midfield with Roldan (eff you kreis) and Lodiero, and very good forwards in Dempsey and Morris. Those guys didn't just start sucking automatically this year. Their xG is much higher than they've scored, so they've been somewhat unlucky this year. They've also got Joevin jones at FB who might be the best attacking FB in the league. They key to me, is to disrupt them before they can get it to the playmakers. Thats defense from the front 4. Villa does it, Wallace does it, Harrison is so so defensively, and the question mark is who plays CAM. Since no one thnks that Vieira will play Harrison at CAM, we are talking about Tmac, or inserting Pirlo or Mikey Lopez pushing Hererra forward. My preferred moves woudl be:
1 Harrision to CAM, lewis or camargo at wing
2 Pirlo in, Herrerra ro CAM
3 Tmac at Cam
...
infinity: Lopez in, who cares whos anywhere else we lose.

I think we see Pirlo, yangel, ring. Yangel and Ring working in tandem when one goes forward the other stays back.
