Early Pre-Match Report...

NYCFC Disciplinary: Alexander Ring and Ethan White are suspended. Herrera and Wallace are both one yellow card card away from suspension and our next game is at Red Bulls.
NYCFC Injury Report: Matarrita, Chanot, Sands are all still out.
NE Disciplinary : Je-Vaugh Watson (LB) is suspended due to yellow card accumulation.
NE Injury Report: No injuries reported as of today.

This game should see the debut of Krisztian Nemeth for New England, back in MLS after Columbus selected him in the allocation order and then traded him to New England.

New England currently sit in 10th in the East with 29 points over 23 games, 1.26 PPG. Their road record is 0-8-3 (W-L-T). Aside from our HISTORIC home opener in 2015 vs. New England with a 2-0 win, we have not again beaten them at home.

FiveThirtyEight puts a NYCFC win at 56%, NE win at 23%, and a 21% of a draw.

Sunday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 68.

New York City v New England Revolution
Yankee Stadium (6:00PM ET)
REF: MARK GEIGER
AR1: Matthew Nelson
AR2: Claudiu Badea
4TH: Jorge Gonzalez
VAR: Dave Gantar

Geiger previously refereed our 1-1 draw vs. Montreal where 2 yellows were shown, 1 for each team. He also refereed our 3-0 win at Orlando where 2 PKs were given, 1 for each team and 4 yellow card, 2 for each team.

Ethan White is suspended for this game as well due to yellow card accumulation unless the MLS reviewed and took away that yellow card.

The 4th official - Jorge Gonzalez - was the referee on the field who red carded Kaka in Saturday's NJ - Orlando match.

Right, I fixed it. Forgot about that stupid card he got. Boateng dives.

The yellow to Ethan and to Maxi the week before were both a little soft if you ask me

Hoping this week we come out fast although we never look to good against NE.

Wallace(Lewis) - Villa - Harrison(Shelton)
Maxi - Lopez - Herrera
Sweat - Callens - Brilliant - Allen

Prefer Lopez over T-Mac

Those are the highest win odds this week. Next highest is SKC at home over FC Dallas, which seems odd. They even give Dallas a lower chance of winning than New England. FCD has been in a bit of a rut, but still. But back to us, on paper this has to be the easiest seeming matchup of the remaining games, followed by Colorado and New England again both away.

i wasnt making my best starting 11 with available players i was making my predictions on who would start

Given that the only time we've played all year without both of them was when PV was unable to select either one, Im gonna stay disagreed. What game was that where both were missing? 5/31 against New England at Yankee Stadium, when we shabbily settled for a draw. Also seems like a pretty good opportunity to challenge a young player to stay out of the book instead of benching him out of fear of a suspension.

You can let Herrera start and just tell him to not pickup any yellows. Don't go into challenges and be careful of dissent.

speaking of dissent shouldnt herrera only be counted for 3 yellows for his accumulation since he got 2 yellows in the same game?
