Also, Dome won't play 433 if we don't have the healthy players to fit the formation. We played 442 in the 2nd half vs NJ.
What choice do we have when we have zero healthy strikers?

Do we have to care about that anymore?

Umm... because everyone automatically is generating 433 lineups, because PV would do the same. But now we have to remember there may be a different formation used based on the personel available to Dome. You are responding to my response to another post, maybe follow the conversation before making your quip.

Assuming Isi, JIB and el Guajé can’t go.

Bench: McNaMullet, Hey Matarrita!, Ooh Ah!, SAS, Don’t Chanot, Stoove, Caldwell

Note that with the injuries and with Sands and Scally out west, we don’t have a full 18 for the game - at least not without a second goalie on the bench.

I am actually kind of hopeful that Villa will be in the 18 and available for a run late if needed.

Only sub for rest is to have Ibby for Chanot, but maybe Chanot goes and there’s a planned sub.

You have to pick someone to play striker, so I go with Lewis and his energy and ability to run into space. Don’t think we go with Maxi there as that seemed to be a Red Bull special.

This is true, but it raises their confidence, and they don't have the same three-game stretch we do so they're going to be playing full-force while we probably will not be.
They played Saturday, and go tomorrow and again next Saturday. That's only 1-day different from our Sunday-Wednesday-Saturday.

So Dylan Butler put out the following projected lineups: https://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2018-07-11-new-york-city-fc-vs-montreal-impact/preview

NYCFC
GK: Sean Johnson — Saad Abdul-Salaam, Sebastian Ibeagha, Alex Callens, Ronald Matarrita — Alex Ring, Ebenezer Ofori, Tommy McNamara — Jesus Medina, David Villa, Jonathan Lewis

That would be six changes from the starting lineup on Sunday. And yeah, it looks credible. Though the absence of Moralez is concerning unless Ring plays a play maker role and McNamara just sits 25 yard away from goal the entire match ready to hit one banger.

Montreal
GK: Evan Bush — Chris Duvall, Rod Fanni, Jukka Raitala, Daniel Lovitz — Ken Krolicki, Samuel Piette, Saphir Taider — Alejandro Silva, Matteo Mancosu, Ignacio Piatti

Montreal will likely put out that following lineup. They've played this same lineup the past three games except Raitala has come in in their last game due to injury for Camacho.

Villa hasn’t been practicing fully. And maxi has always been our iron man on 3 days rest. I’m not buying.

Under PV, it seemed like when Maxi wasn't injured, he played. I wouldn't be surprised to see him out there again tonight. Really excited to go to the stadium tonight. Don't know if it's the bacon on a stick or the chance to be three points back of ATL with a game in hand.

We all remember how last year after Chicago we had a real ineptitude in front of goal for the rest of the season... I'm really hoping we see us score multiple now. :D I just hope we don't have complacency and allow a loss today, we can't afford a loss if we want to race Atlanta for that shield. Imagine now we beat ATL instead of tying...
