Home - 9/23 Chicago

On the 4 to work today, I saw a man wearing a 2014 Philadelphia Union jersey. I had my NYCFC vest and Third Rail scarf in hand. He motions to his wife that I'm wearing MLS gear. She says, "Oh, that's the blue team." I didn't say anything but it's nice to see people notice and wearing MLS in the city.

The guy probably works for MLS or MLS Digital. I mean who would wear an Union jersey (tucked in, lol) to work on a Friday besides someone working for the league in some capacity.

Especially considering that the Union aren't playing tonight.

The only other thing I could think of is if his office is doing some kind of "Jersey Friday" thing where people wear their favorite sports jersey.

So I just received a phone call from the NYCFC offices, but not from my ticket rep. It took me off guard at first because I noticed it wasn't my rep and she had a ton of enthusiasm.

After confirming my name, she said congrats on getting married today and started asking about pitchside seats. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I am not getting married today so I had to clear that up with her. She then confirmed my name once more and seemed a bit perplexed.

Apparently there is someone else out there with my same name who is getting married today and has awesome pitchside seats. Wish I was quicker on my feet with a great backstory or else I would be joining LionNYC LionNYC on Pitchside with my "significant other". (in all seriousness though, that would be a dick move to the other guy and I couldn't actually bring myself to do something like that)

Should have asked for a complimentary Legend's food pass for being a standup guy when pointing out the mixup.

There are plenty of Pitchside seats available for patrons. They should have thrown two your way for sincerity.

I'm wearing a white polo today. Casual Friday :sunglasses:

The idea of not wearing white typically refers to clothes other than shirts (i.e. pants, jackets (well maybe except in winter if you're in a ski destination), shoes, etc.)

Still, wear white if you can pull it off.

Also, the new fall fashion trend: suede...
