Ideas For Songs/chants

New York, New York should absolutely be the pregame or postgame song. Yankee Stadium plays it at the end of soccer games now just like Yankees games, so I'm guessing they/the club will still want that.
Do You Hear The People Sing was picking up steam on the reddit page... I downloaded it and I think it would be incredible to sing as teams walk into the stadium.

Agreed. Americans don't sing really in sports, so it wouldnt be right away, but I think its catchy, meaningful, and could become enough of a tradition that all 20,000 people are singing. It's by far the song that has gotten me most excited. My brain is already convinced it's "our" song and its stuck in my head.

Personally I don't mind borrowing SOME chants from MCFC but there has been a majority of supporters against it.
You could change city to Hey Blues too. I'm not sure how MCFC chant goes so I don't know if thats copying them too
Yeah they do that same chant too.
Lots of MCFC supporters here and even they're on board with us creating our own identity.
I'm sure we will borrow some though. I would love to chant that one. It's one of my favorites, simple but sounds awesome when sung.

I love Les Mis! How about we just sing the entire soundtrack, I'd be happy with that. "One Day More" is pretty epic as well although it might be harder to shoehorn NYCFC lyrics in.
song isnt nys of mind its new york state of mind, referencing the city, being a NY'r creates a certain state of mind not about the state of NY
As a Brooklyn Native and having playing in the Olympic Development Program and 4 years in college, people fear the hardened New Yorkers on and off the pitch. NYC has one of the most distinguishable cultures not only stateside but globally. We're not Beatles singing brits, I strongly encourage what ever culture is around this team, that it embraces the bad ass, taking no shit from noone attitude of NYC culture. We need to make the Seattle fans look weak in comparison.
