Jack Harrison [Midfielder]

well he says injury from last week.....so he may have picked up a knock in our playoff games or our training
If he picked it up last week, the team should have either said:
1. No, you’re injured so you cannot report for NT duty.
Or
2. You’re not injured too badly, so you can report but you’re not allowed to practice/play unless given 100% clean bill of health.

I would guess #2 took place and he’s simply rehabbing. My fear is that he’ll push though if “close” to having zero pain because that’s what players do to prove they’re tough enough and not injury prone. Hope he is sensible.

We should just start sending our staff out with people to NT training so they aren't damaging our dudes with their wack outdated training techniques. Having to learn new secret handshakes and shit. I bet David got injured on international duty with Spain because he didn't have anybody to spray with his water bottle.

Championship. Not looking to optimistic for him to play in PL. Feel bad for the kid, but we sure made out with the transfer fee. Especially when you consider the replacements.
I wouldn’t condemn anybody that doesn’t shine on a Tony Pulis team. That’s like giving Warren Buffet a million dollars of Monopoly money and asking him to go buy a stake in Amazon.

Not saying it’s Jack’s fault. Just saying PL is farther away for him now that it was this winter when he could have transferred directly into it.

You guys also gotta remember he went from no games for 3 months to joining a team in the heat a promotion race. It's kinda similar to how the vast majority of the time, MLS signees who join in the summer don't make a real impact until their first full season. Jack deserves a full season before being written off as not good enough for that level.

He wasnt anything THAT special at MLS level

I think he was for a good part of his first season and for about half of last season.
He dropped off dramatically as the season went on, but we need to remember where he came from. He came from the short college season, to an injury shortened first pro season, to his first full season as a pro. People underestimate how tough it is to adjust to a full 34 game season.

Define THAT, because he was not outclassed in MLS. He was the second leading scorer for us, and that was on a team of seasoned pros. England tapped him and they’re stacked at his age level.
