I thought it was only senior team caps that account for being cap tied. Anyhow, we can still appeal for a one time switch to another country.
I believe the one time switch is only for a dual-citizen. Jack doesn’t have an American passport yet so a youth cap ties him to England.
Big deal for MLS and a even bigger deal for Jack... Congrats to him.
Our U23 and U17 squads are good. The future is bright for the USMNT in the next cycle. Let Jack play for England and live his dream.

depends who the team that wants him is....if its an english side....he gone....if its lower table team from other country then maybe he stays.....wasnt Ajax scouting him already?
Let us enjoy these next couple games and the playoffs with Jack. If he is halfway decent at this England call up there will be a bunch of teams trying to buying him

That is most likely a fluff piece - BR is known for stretching innuendo. If both clubs are bidding on Jack, MLS can’t show favoritism towards MCFC because of the existing ties - they are bound by a fiduciary responsibility to the league to get the most out of the transfer so if ManU makes a better bid, and NYCFC and Jack are open to “a” transfer in general, then MCFC is going to have to up their offer or lose out.
Agree with you re Bleacher Report and MLS rules. But, if both offers are in the same ballpark, I don't foresee MLS screwing over one of its ownership groups that is supposed to be one of the flagship programs in the league.
