Mix Diskerud to Man City OFFICIAL

Something something college basketball recruiting something. Nike gave Bagley's dad a job and cash, and steered him to a Nike school (Duke). The sweet justice is that he eventually signed with PUMA for a shoe AND lifestyle contract.

If I had to guess, part of Mix's contract with Umbro gives them a say in which club he signs for so they can be confident he's high profile enough to warrant a sponsorship.

I doubt they can actually control who he signs for, but I bet they have the right to dissolve their contract with him if they don't like who he's playing for.

Mix is #back! you heard it here first folks

That’s not too crazy a thought. We need a CM. He’s under contract with MC. And PV is gone. Oh and he’s totally familiar with NY & and doesn’t need an international roster spot. He seemed destined for Korea and all the sudden when Herrera gets hurt... Can’t wait to see the forums when they announce that!

Do you think he'd even want to come back? Would we want him back?

Just to double post. My biggest problem with Mix was his salary and all the GAM he used up (remember the days before TAM?). If he could get a Yangel style loan deal and stay under $200k, he’d probably be the perfect fit for us at CM to link Ring and Maxi. And Umbro would approve NYC over Korea, and we know that’s a top priority.

Is this all just everyone having a laugh? Y'all are toying with my emotions.

I don't think anyone owns his rights. We bought him out and no one picked him up on waivers, which lead to his limbo. Man City could theoretically loan him to us without any interference.
I suppose the one wild card would be if any team made a discovery claim, which I don't think we can know.

We originally acquired him via the allocation process, but as he has not played with the USMNT for a while, he might no longer be subject to allocation.

He's not on the allocation list anymore and I don't know think you can put in a discovery claim for someone that has been in MLS, but who really knows. This fucking league sometimes.

I think this is probably correct. We don't have his rights anymore; he wasn't sold for $500K or more, so he doesn't go on the allocation list. Someone could put in a discovery claim, I guess.
