MLS Cup Playoffs 2018 - Knockout Round

Allan Chapman again failed to discipline a player making a possible season-ending dangerous play on another player

Also, wtf was up with the cup landing in the goal during Zardes’ PK? I didn’t know Orlando fans snuck into Audi Field

So much for DC being so hot...

Remember two years ago when they were super hot to end the season and they lost in the first round as well.

Rooney and Acosta both fail to convert their PKs

Rooney is a whiney little runt.
As a guy who vehemently hated Rooney in England, I disagree. I think he’s fucking brilliant. Saved pk or not. He’s still so freaking good. And such a proper Scouse bastard. I’ve started to recognize again the quality now that he’s out of ManU shit.

Yeah, but his berating of Chapman was fucking ridiculous. That absolutely deserved a yellow because it was way over the line but Chapman has no balls

Hamid should have done a lot better on Higuain’s second goal.
I thought Hamid was pretty poor, all night.

Russell Canouse should be the starting 6 for the USMNT. It’s not really close. He’s miles above WTF90 and MB90.

DC gets nothing from their top players, season over.

NYC gets a goal from Villa, a goal and 2 assists from Moralez, they move on.

Your best players need to be your best players in the playoffs.

We have to go to the informal - British definition of the word pants here which means: "rubbish; nonsense".

Still, it's a noun. And not an adjective, so Doyle is not writing properly.

Rubbish is also an adjective in certain English dialects. And nonsense.

So, we are officially the only home team to advance this year from the KO round. Crazy shit just went down that 90% of us didn't expect.

The crane kick is an illegal kick. Daniel should have been disqualified and cobra kai crowned champs. Same with Kreilach and LAFC.

I think this was a question posed last year about Atlanta who were in a similar situation of a very packed last few weeks, but watching United look dead tired before 90 min makes you wonder if Olsen should have done a better job managing his team’s minutes. Obviously they needed all the points they got, but even think to our game versus them. They went up 3-0 and Olsen only used one sub, and neither was for Acosta or Rooney

Yeah, in hindsight he should have gotten them a bit of rest, but they don’t have a ton of depth on the bench so it’d be a catch-22. Mess with the good mojo they had going and rest a few players, or make changes and risk getting the home playoff spot...... even though they lost, having that home match was fire for them and their fans. Had they traveled for the knockout, there was still the chance of losing and not getting a home match.
