MLS Cup Playoffs 2018 - Knockout Round

The Knockout Round went about as well as we could hope.
1. NYCFC won.
2. There were only 2 teams in the West whom we would host in MLS Cup Final. Both had Away knockout games. And both won.
3. Columbus, the only team to play more than 1 game against the Red Bulls this year and never lose, are up next for the Red Bulls.

That’s almost as crazy as RSL getting 2 shots on goal and scoring 3 times.

Yeah, which was the crap team that lost 3-2 with only allowing 2 shots and an own goal?

Oh.

Yup, we should all be rooting for RSL, Portland and Lumbus (except against us). Laughing at everyone whine about the cup final being at Yankee Stadium would be epic.

As soon as NYCFC made MLS Cup, the articles would start: “why not hold it at another stadium?” The whining from the rest of the league would be so loud. And NYCFC could hold up a big middle finger and it would be glorious.
It would be even better if they intentionally put brown grass across the infield and warning track!

I’d be content with them just marking out every yrd around the entire field (much like the ruler function on MSWord) so that every twitter yodel from around the country can STFU about the field being non-regulation.

Went back to look at that CLB-NYC semifinal last year and I noticed the date of it...
10.31.2017
So it's not unprecedented.

Also, I recently saw a point made - I forget where - that MLS cannot play on Saturday right now because its English language national TV partners -- ESPN and FOX -- have wall-to-wall college football on Saturday. It's not an issue of whether you prefer to go against college or the NFL. The issue is nobody is available to televise the games on Saturday. ESPN has no Sunday NFL, and Fox only has it on FOX actual. FOX sports is open. That makes moving our Wednesday game that much harder.

Columbus fans were doing "hey baby"
Did they just start this? Also, why would anyone steal that song of all songs to steal?

...we stole it. From everyone. It's extremely common. Which is another reason why it's a dumb chant. It'd be like us also choosing to be the thousandth team who uses "when the saints go marching in".
Are you sure? I thought I remembered "it being original to our club" being one of the few positives people mentioned when we all got sick of it when it was our only song.
