There hashtag #fillthebowlagain sounds like they are desperate and pleading with their fan to actually come to their games

Desperate? You realize they had the second best attendance in the MLS last year, right?
Lol oops not a clue! I follow only one team in MLS and all other facts from other teams pretty much escape me. Thank for the clarification SFphoto.

They have sold 43k tickets for the match as of last Saturday

Yeah. The biggest problem in Orlando is that they are moving from a 60,000 plus stadium to one that is less than what they averaged last season.

I'm not really sure why they are building their own stadium at all. Are they forced to lease the Orange Bowl? Are they not able to stay in the orange bowl? It's a perfectly acceptable stadium that they have managed to fill up relatively well. Why would they need to build a new smaller stadium?

For one the orange bowl is in Miami. Second, the team wants to control all facets of game day- parking, concessions, scheduling, etc.

Then what is their stadium called? Is it the citrus bowl? How many stadiums can you name after a f'ing orange?

Controlling all facets of game day at the expense of a smaller fan base in the stadium? Or are they expecting 30,000 will be plenty of seats once the initial mls excitement dies down?

Toronto's stadium coming together nicely:

That showed they put half of the roof up in like 8 secs, so it really shouldn't have taken them more than a few hours to built the whole sucker.

For those who made the away trip to Chicago: how was Toyota Park? I've heard a lot about the lousy location, but not much about the place itself.

Didn't make the trip but lived there for a few years and went to a bunch of games. I'm neutral on the stadium, it's a fine place to watch a match but nothing about the stadium really jumps out at you. RBA is way nicer.

Pros:
1. Good view from any seat
2. Feels small even with a listed capacity of 30k
3. Some decent food options
4. Lively well organized supporters section, with Capos and a stand for them to lead from
5. Fun tail gating scene in the parking lot before games because most people have to drive to get there.
6. I always found the fans to be friendly even to away supporters the tail gating before the game is one big party.
7. Secondary market tickets are super cheap you can get amazing seats for $5-$10 on game day.

Cons:
1. The non supporters section seats are often only half full and the fans are not very lively
2. Nothing about the stadium stands out
3. On one end of the field they have a bunch of new Toyotas on elevated pedestals with spot lights on them makes it feel a bit like you are at a car dealership and just seems trashy
4. It never seems to get super loud partly because one end is some what open and partly because it's usually half empty.
5. Section 8 is more obsessed with the tetris chant than the TR is with hey baby.

It's a functional soccer specific stadium so who am I to judge until we get ours. That being said when we finally get our SSS if looks anything like Toyota park most people will be super disappointed.
