Two Wednesday game kick us off, and both are interesting contests.

Toronto hosts Orlando
Sporting KC hosts the Red Fools

Other interesting games...

Seattle hosts Toronto on ESPN Saturday at 3pm
Houtson hosts Orlando on Saturday night
NYC host Atlanta on Sunday afternoon (why the fuck is this game on Univision?)

Orlando has been really hot lately, but I have a feeling that they will lose both of their matchups.

Would also be really nice if Philly can pick up their first win of the season this Saturday, home against New Jersey. NJRB does have that earlier game in the week at SKC so hopefully they come into that matchup with some tired legs.

Don't count out NE. They were a brainfart away from victory this past weekend since nobody should give up a 3 goal advantage. And LA is so bad that Chicago should get 3 from them.

Very true, and I don't really know what it is other than some weird gut feeling (and maybe some blind hope as well). But I just think Philly gets them this weekend.

Agreed. I was flirting with picking Chicago to win that game, but was just considering a west coast trip would get them. And after saying that, though Toronto is rounding into good form lately, I wouldn't be surprised if Seattle beats them considering Toronto plays Wednesday night, then has to travel to Seattle for a game on Saturday afternoon.

Univision only televised Friday nights in 2015-16. This year that's out the window. I figure they wanted more freedom in selecting good matchups.

I doubt matchups are motivating the change since the league probably is willing to move each network's preferred game to the day/time they want. For Univision, I think some of it is that the Friday night games conflicted with Liga MX, which led to the abhorrent split screen broadcasts.

For me, the bigger issue is the breaking up of the Sunday double header with ESPN and Fox. MLS had long lacked a consistent broadcast window - a time when you knew you could turn on the TV and catch a league game. They had begun to establish that over the last two seasons, and now seem to be going in the opposite direction.

Is a tie between Orlando and Toronto tonight the best result for NYCFC in the long run?

At this point we can't answer that so the safest result to hope for is a tie. It could turn out in October that a win by one of them would have been better but it's far too early to make even an educated guess right now.

Shaping with an 11 minute hat trick. Union get their first win shutting out RB.
