MLS Week 11 - 2018

I wouldn't bet against them making the playoffs. The issue with TFC is that their biggest strength was their depth. Now that teams have all of this TAM to spend, the league quickly closed the gap on that advantage.
Plus, they’ve been missing a lot of players. They’ll be getting this guys back soon.

Toronto is showing us the new model for top teams. 1) Focus on CCL and don't care about first +/- 8 MLS games. 2) fight for top 6 spot to get in playoffs during regular season. 3) When in playoffs try to win MLS Cup. 10 points behind NER with a game in hand for the 6 spot with 25 games to play is way too early to count them out of 2)

I don't think they are Supporters Shield contenders this year though.

All they need is Gio and some fouls called in the final third and they can win any games as needed.

Well, they won’t have that option when they host Orlando next weekend.
Yes. That was so silly by him. If you are going to love tap someone just stay away from the face and neck.

I hope we swerve NER in the playoffs. They have almost the same ability as RBNJ to run us off the pitch in the first 15 minutes.

Penilla is really good. And Bunbury is fast and athletic and physical. Fagundez is smart.

If we end up with any ref other than Kelly against them, it’s a scary proposition. Even with Kelly, it’s unsettling.

I'd rather we figure out how to nullify the press by mixing up our use of possession :/

Wait, really?

So let met get this straight, we are coming to this opinion about TFC now?

We are saying this about a team that has fielded a legit first team squad 6 times this year? And two of those being after mid-week games in Mexico? A team that went to PKs in the CCL final? They're done?

A team that is currently without their top CB, a DP striker, and one of the best LB's in the league? (All of these players anticipating to return this year).

We've found out that the Cup is about getting into the playoffs and then making it happen. Discounting TFC for MLS Cup consideration at this point seems a bit foolish.

I made a bet with someon on r/MLS that Toronto won’t make the playoffs.

MLS “parity” will kick in.

Absolutely hate Orlando and Kreis, but today I want them to gut punch Atlanta and send them packing. Typically would prefer a draw, taking a point out of circulation, but I don’t think Orlando will be in contention by the end of the season and a zero today for ATL will help our cause.

I don’t hate Orlando as much as you but I’m completely on board with the logic.
