They are tied for best PPG, have the second best GD, second in Supporter's Shield table, the best GA/Game (1.00) and are on 7 games undefeated and coming off a big comeback win. That's a plausible case for #1. I can also make the case they should be dinged for having only 1 tough win (Atlanta) and a weak schedule to date.
But clown show is rather extreme. Toronto at 13 is a better clown show case.

Well, I didn't think they were as good as advertised, and they went out and suffered two bad losses, so pretty founded, I think.
