MLS Week 28 - 2017

Atlanta Orlando ends in a tie which is better than I would have expected.

Josef Martinez is at 1.39 G/90 and is only three behind Villa. He had six goals this week. Crazy.

While I don't want to lose Sean Johnson this season to USMNT duty, since it'd sink our chances to finish 2nd in the east, I sure hope the US locks up a WC spot without SJ and the moment we do, Arena tells Guzman to enjoy Atlanta because he's not being invited back.

If Josef Martinez would like to stop scoring, that would be great.

If you Captained Martinez on Fantasy soccer you got 74 points just from him. That's a decent -- not great but respectable -- score for an entire squad some weeks.

Meanwhile, if NYCFC gets 1 point tonight they clinch finishing better than both Philly and Orlando. DC is already clinched. A win and 3 points does not do anything more for the moment.

Except that the additional W is a major tiebreaker.

Edit: and that's not meant to dispute anything you wrote.

It's also 2 more points. "For the moment" was my attempt to cover all obvious benefits that didn't involve an immediate clinch.
You don't get to give yourself a Pre-mulligan.

70,425 at the Atlanta v Orlando game. New MLS record. And a wild game to watch as well.

Toronto FC are damn good.

The hope is we finish second in the shield and they win MLS Cup (if we don't) so we get a CONCACAF Champions League spot.
