MLS Week 4

That goal happened so late MLSsoccer.com has the score as "NY 0, CHV 1 Final" on the little score ticker.

Random thoughts on the weekend:

Really sucks for Seattle to lose. They looked to be the better side even 10 men down and I was expecting the winner to come from them, not the crazy possibly-too soon Columbus corner.

The officiating in the Dallas/Portland match was awful. Refs talk about an altercation between two players and then issue reds...to two other players. Maybe the ref was jealous of all the attention their fellows refs got at the Wisconsin/Arizona NCAA game?

Chivas is better than they were last year, but to have to struggle to get a draw against Chivas at home doesn't bode well for the energy drinks.

Everytime I tuned in to the Toronto/RSL match I watched Bradley kick beautiful passes to no one. I don't know if he's off or if his teammates have no clue where they're supposed to be going. I kinda suspect the latter.

The Union dominated the game, were up a man, and had to settle for a draw because their defender decided to position himself against a possible cross on a DiVaio run...except there were literally no other Montreal players in the area. So the Union defenders moves up to block a nonexistent threat, giving DiVaio a golden opportunity which he nailed.

SKC and RSL look to be shaking the fatigue of the CCL and are positioning themselves nicely. No idea what's wrong with Portland.
