MLS Week 5 - 2017

The league cannot always guess what teams will have players called up; yes, some players seem to be a given, but who's to say the current coach will seenit that way? Plus, nearly every team in the league now has NT players from 1 or more countries, meaning there's always a team affected, so the only solution would be to not have Friday games which would not sit well with the TV companies.
I think not scheduling friday games after international breaks is a great idea.

Your logic is sound, but it appears the need for Friday night games is not that strong. After June, the league has game(s) scheduled for 2 Friday: 1 in July and 1 in August. There are no Friday games in September or October.

Probably because FS1 is going to telecast off-road mud racing or some arcane shit like that?

I think it's Univision. In 2015-16 they did all the Friday games under the Viernes de Fútbol brand. They moved to Saturday games this year. Fox picked up a few Friday nights mostly in the first half of the season. I haven't counted but the total number of national TV games seems not to have gone down, just moved.

I just watched these this morning. TFC had to come away with 3 points. IDK whats up with SKC. They dont look like they can actually score. Their games have been dreadful to watch.

Gerso needs to do more, and Blessing needs to play more than 15 minutes.

I thought Seattle Atlanta was entertaining but someonr has to score somewhere. I really like what Harry Shipp brings to the lineup. Roldan looked amazing this game, but he looks alot better as the 8 than on the wing imho. Game changed siginifcantly when Dempesy and Almiron subbed in. Idk why ATL didnt start a true forward in Jones over Peterson.

I saw those lineups and it immediately iced my excitement for the game. No Jones, Almiron, and Dempsey. Sad!

Wow. Minnesota had almost a 20k drop off in attendance from game one to game two. 35k for game one and 17k today. Crazy.

Galaxy - wtf???

Give up equalizer. Sub Zardes. Kick off. concede another.

Wow red bulls got wrecked. The few games I watched this year they didn't look near as good as last year.

Smug little fcks. Only took us 4 games to leap them in the standings, and they have a game in hand. Considering how bad they look, this could be a long and hopefully miserable season for them and their fans.
We have a game in hand on them. I point this out so other won't be struck by the inherent conflict in your post and feel the need to look it up, as I did. Doing my part to make the forum more efficient.

I just can't even go down the PPG road at this point. You have the points you have. I don't even think anyone can say they know enough about the teams yet to draw any conclusions beyond that.

Who cares? They don't even have a presence in their so called home market.

What pettiness they do do not concern me based on their actual irrelevance.

Eh, it's not like I'm losing sleep over it or anything - just striking how they can't even bring themselves to conceal it. (If anything it's somewhat amusing.)
