Music and what not ...

I'm down. Who's performing? We can do both!

Also, I have one act that I absolutely must see this year: Run The Jewels.

You haven't seen RTJ yet? Than YES you must go!!! THey are fantastic - killer mike runs his shows like church. They are playing the northside festival in brooklyn, I'm also planning on hitting up the brooklyn hip hop festival this year - it's a good time in the sun, cheap and usually an excellent vibe.

BK Hip Hop fest is a yearly ritual. As is Afro Punk.

I've seen RTJ before but can't remember when. I think it was actually before the project dropped. Mike was on tour with Big Boi.

saw killer mike with big boi but it was in dc - so no el-p - yeah i saw rtj twice on the first tour - haven't seen them since the new album came out. Rox i will see ya at bk fest - super good time - i've hit them almost every other year.

Davo - Didn't see your avatar til now.

I haven't been able to pull away from oasis.... Since like '97

So went to the RTJ show - Frikkin NAS came out! SICKNESS!!! also vince Staples (the opener) well worth checking out. Sleaigh Bells the bandin the middle of some great hip hop was blech!!! as far as I'm concerned - lot's of preprogrammed drums and keayboard/synth parts - but only guitars on stage (not even a frikkin bassist!) fuck your shitty new joan jett bullshit. Any-hoo

not a Nas fan

I understand that sentiment - "if i ruled the world" was super played out and I avoided him for a long time, but there is no denying his impact on the genre - and every time a Nas tune comes on or is part of some mix both you and I know you nod your head.

The Message is easily my favorite Nas track and possibly in my top 10 hip-hop tracks.

Another great track off the same album.

Absolutely. You being my universe twin and all, you know I agree 100%. "Made You Look" is beyond epic.

Nothing was coming up for me during general sale that I wanted, but when I realized I qualified for "Chase Preferred" I scored general admission floor tickets

Well, it really kind of depends on the style of music that you like. I have a variety of different styles that I enjoy listening to.

Some random suggestions:

F.I.R. - They're a group based in Taiwan and the majority of there music is in Mandarin Chinese. I believe their most recent album is on iTunes. It's not really my favorite album by them. Most of their other songs are on youtube.

Enrique Bunbury - My favorite song by him is Frente a Frente

Marc Anthony

Chino y Nacho - I've only ever listened to "Me Voy Enamorando" by them. It's a pretty catchy song.

Enrique Iglesias - I like his spanish songs.

Don Omar - Pretty popular latin american singer/rapper

A-Mei - A very popular singer out of Taiwan. Sings in Mandarin only. (As far as I know)

Auf Uns - A song sung in German by a variety of artists.

Hopefully you find some of them to be half decent.
