Music and what not ...

HEY! Where you been hiding, man? Haven't seen you since the first TR meeting.

Lol, yeah. Life. My season tickets are in 234 but kinda wishing I'd gone for Supporters' Section. Friends wanted the option to sit down (but we stand all game anyway).

Victors87 Victors87 BxLio91 BxLio91 they released those tracks as download singles back in Mar/Apr/May along with 2 others and I remember thinking 'why so long until the LP release?' which happened mid-July, but then I totally forgot until now so thanks for the reminder. Either of you listened to Currents in its entirety yet?

I had only heard "Cause I'm a man" and decided I'd check out their other stuff "later" but haven't gotten around to it quite yet.

Just sitting down to finish some work ...
Love it man! I've been a huge reggae addict since I was a kid, listen to it endlessly, and have been to many more shows than I can remember.

Missed this earlier, good record. Trojan Records is finally re-doing their best of series* and I picked up Rock Steady Vol. 1 recently. Quite a few gems.

Side A
1. Alton Ellis & the Flames - Rocksteady
2. Desmond Dekker & the Aces - 007 (Shanty Town)
3. The Jamaicans - Ba Ba Boom
4. Keith & Tex - Stop That Train
5. The Uniques - My Conversation
6. The Ethiopians - Train to Skaville

Side B
1. The Paragons - The Tide is High
2. Lee Perry - (I am) the Upsetter
3. Derrick Harriott - The Loser
4. Phyllis Dillon - Perfidia
5. The Gaylads - Hard to Confess
6. The Upsetters - Return of Django

* The new vinyl does not track the original 3 volume vinyl or CD sets, but seems to cull from those in addition to the 40 groundbreaking hits and story of rocksteady 1966-68 compilations. Not sure what the plan is for subsequent releases

Heck yes! I think Currents best album of 2015. But then again i just like this type of music. I remember driving back from SKC game and catching it on wfuv. ( I had recently purchased my first car and it felt great) eventhough we lost, but that track somehow i dont know how let me think whatever we have a team in nyc im just happy

during the rain delay i got all nostalgic for a delayed music festival ... then remembered seeing these guys (health) at the after party show thing in some shit-hole in chicago. They pretty much made fun of themselves for (at the time) being best known for a remix someone did of their song crimewave ... here are both ...

Also their new album just came out ... half of it is great ... not going to tell you which songs ... i do like this one a lot though ...

shit just got kinda industrial up in here
