NE Postmatch

Lopez is an incredible liability with the ball at his feet because (as you point out) he doesn't know what to do with it. However, when he doesn't have the ball, he is generally a tenacious defender (in the mold of the terrier dog biting your ankle) that will run his ass off and has the wheels to do it. PV has obviously decided he'd rather have the defensive help and be a man down on offense rather than the other way around with certain other players.... although as of late, we're a man down on both offense and defense when TMac is on the field, hence his area of the bench has been very warm.
I'm not sure where he has gotten that reputation from, as some kind of defender, but I haven't seen it. I've looked because so many people say it, but I just don't see him causing any opponent to change their plans because of something he does.

yeah I can't get o'er it

One of the negatives of Yankee Stadium is the seating configuration on that side of the field. My friends told me that they thought the stadium was going to break the fans went crazy after JLew's goal, but you don't really get to see the crowd reaction on the tv angles. Does anyone have any personal videos from that goal? Or see a better fan shot?

here ya go
