New England Post Match

I sit high enough in 126 (3rd Base Side) that I can see the game develop nicely. But you are a mile from the field.

I thought the ball kid on my side of the field was off his game Wednesday night.

It almost seems like the refs are purposely being shittier than usual in order to make everyone appreciate the video review,(brought to you by Advocare)

Who wants to bet that Borg reviews the PK in the first half in his weekly video review and has some BS like "he went for the ball and his leg was in a natural motion, while Villa seems to lose momentum on his own, excellent non-call!"

I saw it. Why did he get kicked out?
I'm pretty sure he was running his mouth. He was obviously underage and drunk. Obnoxious the whole time, always standing, spilling drinks and acting like a real douche in general. I saw him get some kind of ticketing as we were leaving the game. Dunno what they can really legally do at the stadium.

This game convinced me we should sign Sands as a backup DM. I know it was just preseason, but that Emelec team was not preseason and was playing with meaning. Sands fits our style of play better than Lopez and his ball control and linkup play would have been an improvement over what we saw last night. Some teams have Mids who might be crushing Sands physically, but NE isn't one of them. Sands can help us win games in 2017.
did we try to do something with sands and he declined? I thought there was something about his family getting in his ear to try to get him to go to europe.

edit:

I've been presuming all along that we would sign him in a minute but the kid and his parents have been the ones putting it off.

whoops someone answered you. I've been sitting on this page with the browser open a while cause when i replied you were the last comment, and that was like 3 pages ago.

I'm in 226 and noticed the ball kid as well. Once my kids are old enough to do it they will be properly trained when to stall and when to move their ass.

I'd take Prilo over TMac as well.
Monty Hall: you can have Pirlo and his Passing, or Tommy Mac and his looping right footed shot, or you can take what's behind door number 3....
<crowd screams: Pirlo Tommy Pirlo Tommy>
Ulrich: I'll take Door Number 3
Monty Hall: you've won a fantastic toaster oven!!!

My big takeaway from this game: from where I sit, apparently I can't tell the difference between Geiger and Penso. I was yelling at Geiger. Should have realized it wasn't him since he just officiated one of our matches

Start around the 32-35 minute. Around then.
My read was the defender got some of the ball but it was still on course for Villa to run on to it and score. Defender took Villa out to prevent it. If so, I think that's still a foul and a penalty, but it's nuanced.

I found it. It's at 32:40. Thanks for the help.

I think Mr. Joe summarizes pretty well. He does get a fair amount of ball. Not a penalty for me, but it is close.
