That was an ugly game and we really shouldn’t have taken a point there. Outplayed for a good part of it.
I know some people are giving Berget crap but there’s not much he could do there. Medina has a bad game as well. That doesn’t mean they were bad. We couldn’t get service forward and were pinned back for much of the game. We lost the game in midfield and tied it with some great finishing by Shradi.
That’s really all this came down to.
If he hadn’t put 2 in then he would of been just as invisible.
I thought players that did play bad were Herrera and Maxi. Didn’t do enough to help us beat the press. Midfield turned it over way too often and went backwards way too often. That ball back to Sean from Maxi from nearly the top of the 18 was baffling.

Thank God you got in here first with that. Was coming to make sure first post wasn’t shitting on berget.

Berget had more head flicks in one game than the rest of the team combined for three seasons. That could be a useful development for DV.

Berget is not Adam Nemec
Berget is not Adam Nemec
Berget is not Adam Nemec

Just had to leave that there. The second goal started with Berget (looking awkward with arms and legs flailing) holding possession and laying it off. This is his first game after an injury, he played 90 minutes, let’s not crucify him yet.

It really reminded me of when we had Nemec. He’d Step in for Villa and receive absolutely zero service. Same happened today, no wing play at all. I recall ZERO crosses into the box.
Berget has bad feet? Really? He’s tall and strong, balls should be coming for his head, not at his feet with his back to goal and 25 yards out.

A point, on the road, on turf, missing several starters. This is a match we easily could have lost, so I'm thrilled with the point.
We would have to be very very bad from here on out to miss the playoffs at this point. Obviously we want top seed and supporters Shield, but I'm happy with ten points

at all. I recall ZERO crosses into the box.
Except a bad one from Berget.

I'm not ready to write Berget off yet, unlike many.

I was shocked at the poor vision from midfield. We had wingers and forwards showing for the ball, and time after time no pass attempt was made.

Word to Tajouri-Shradi, though.

Ofori was a turnover machine and was hesitant to pass forward. Hopefully that is first game jitters.

Medina had a quiet game but damn what a layoff for SAS.

Will be good for Tinnerholm to come back, SAS at fault on second goal.

Way too much possession for possession’s sake, you can see where Ring is missed.

Shradi took his chances well (so far what a pickup).

Callens had a shocker-got muscled off the ball by Agudelo and didn’t step to Fagundez. Given his history, he’ll do better.

Sweat continues to be a good-bad player.

And finally why not sub? NE was dead at 70 minutes and yet no fresh legs. Then again, looking at the bench, it’s obvious that he had no one there. Tommy Mac isn’t it and Lewis is in chateau bow wow.

You take a point in Gillette, coming from behind twice. On to the next one.
