New Swag

Remember how we used to be called the pigeons...some people used it as an insult, others saw it as a spirit animal, eventually it came an unofficial mascot and we got a pigeon scarf...

Well, the Red Bulls have always been calling us Smurfs (who are the good protagonists and made over $1 billion worldwide in their recent movies.

Well an RB fan group made this shirt.

This is funny. And deserved.

I'm out of the loop. What is the 'NYCFC fan crime spree'?

In Orlando, an NYCFC stole a chair (and other various charges). During the Open Cup match at RBA, an NYCFC stole a chair. I believe in 2015, it was, at RBA, an NYCFC stole a chair.

And other RB fans have alleged that NYCFC fans throws glass bottles at them, start fights, hit people, etc. You know, hooligan stuff.

But it's really just chair stealing.

Was really hoping for a juicy story but I had no idea it was going to be that juicy. THE CHAIR BANDITS

To clarify no chairs were stolen on Wednesday. Also Red Bull fans came up to our section during the Open Cup game on Wednesday looking for trouble, tired of people making NYCFC fans the bad guys. They came looking for trouble and they got their asses handed to them.

That's pretty cute. My daughter would love it. Are a bunch of grown men planing on wearing tshirts with cartoon characters on the front.

So, does this mean I shouldn't wear my Opus 'n' Bill for President shirt to the stadium? Please advise.

I'll ignore the sarc and actually state an opinion.

If little children watch the show/film, not ok. Unless you're a parent with said little children by your side at that time you're wearing it (this is especially true for theme parks, and encouraged). Opus n' bill is way above the head of the average 4-7 year old. Smurfs on the other hand...

What about cartoons that work on multiple levels, like Looney Tunes, Simpsons or newer ones like Adventure Time, Regular Show or Gravity Falls?

Nope. I love the simpsons and looney toons. But no adult should be walking around with a tshirt with bugs bunny or Bart Simpson on it. Unless you work at a comic book store and waiting to lose your virginity.

Next time you're thinking, "dang, these authentic jerseys sure are expensive" I'd like to mention that I'm watching the Mets game and they have these cool alternate color Father's Day weekend jerseys that I really like. Problem is they cost $227. Compared to our authentics that cost $120.

However, if you happen to be an XL we do have the last few inaugural season jerseys on sale for $60 (both colors).

Mets authentic Father's Day
Mets authentic standard (same price)
NYCFC authentic (current)

Here you go...

Just watched that episode recently in my ongoing rewatch of The Office. That's a great monologue and bit of improv. One of my fave moments of the series.

Also, I would buy the hell out of any Smurf gear. #nofucksgiven hopefully soon to be #nofuchsgiven
