Last year, the only made Parley kits for 4 teams and only made 3 for each player on the roster. This year they're doing 23 teams and selling to consumers. That's A LOT more kits to make. That being said, given the kits have the two MLS patches, I don't think there is a replica or authentic version. There's just the one Parley kit being made for each team.
The folks at the local soccer store checked some info they received which said that names/numbers would be standard black, for what that is worth. I am going to wait and see.
The jersey is actually almost cream colored, not quite a full white. And while it's hard to tell in these photos the stripes and lettering is a dark, dark grey. I color "corrected" the badge photo to more closely represent the actual colors but it's still not quite right. Also, it sits somewhere in between authentic and replica. It has the two MLS patches like an authentic but is more of a replica fit. And the fabric isn't quite really either one, more like a third thing although it's maybe a little closer to the replica fabric as far as feel goes. Bottom line is I really like it, and am glad I got one.
Well, it's made of ocean plastic. Yeah, the feel is weird. Not like a typical jersey or type of t-shirt. Something Under Armour-y or Nike Dri-Fit.
I’m really surprised by the lack of color the parlay jerseys have. White and black, that’s it. If the point is to focus on Earth Day, why not have more colors that correspond to nature??? Ocean blue, or grassy green, or the sun’s yellow? Keep the black&white and there’s then 5 colors to use across all the teams. Just seems like a lazy, missed opportunity by Adidas.
The parley is theoretically on sale online on Thursday at 1pm. (April 26, 2018 for those in the future.) Interestingly, Adidas is calling it the third jersey.

Compared to the RM/Bayern Parley kits from two years ago, it's a different feel. Those were surprisingly soft, this years MLS ones not as much.
The ETIHAD logo is also interesting in that it is a raised almost plastic-like type material, much thicker than the usual tape-like sponsor logos and numbers on kits. I like it, definitely a good shirt to have for the summer games and clean enough for simple nights out with friends/family.

This will be great to wear to the MLS Cup at Yankee Stadium this December.
I've never bought Fanatics branded stuff. Have any of you? How is the quality? I'm guessing it's mediocre at best.
I got one of their T-shirt’s last year, quality was totally fine but the blue was maybe 5% off from Adidas
So, the Parley jerseys. What's the fit like? I wear an M authentic, for reference, and it fits me perfectly.
Then get a M. The S would be too small. I find it's the same length but just a wider cut.
I'd say a Small may be good then. Depends on your build. If you're slimmer in the waist get a Small, broader waist/shoulders get a Medium.
Medium Parley may be a bit loose on you.
Authentic sizing seems to change drastically year to year. Are you a Medium Authentic 2018 Gray, Medium Authentic 2017 Sky Blue, or Medium Authentic 2016 Hypnokit?
I'm broad and do have a tiny waist. I figured I'd just bite the bullet and deal with some flow from the medium, but now I'm not sure. And I'm talking about the new grey kit that fits me in medium. I'll be nice to wear in the summer, hopefully...
It matches up nearly exactly to the new grey. Just did the comparison to confirm.
