Does anyone know of a local place that does custom MLS namesets? I want a Ring All-Star jersey and I think the numbers are the same as the RBNY numbers, so any place that does custom Red Bulls would be able to help.

Upper 90 should be able to help. Call them first to ask if they have the proper name and number set. There's also an triangular NYCFC patch for the shoulder that Ring had on his jersey. Don't know if they'd have that.

MLS has decided that nobody should be able to wear an All-Star jersey that looks like the real thing. I had a guy at the company that makes MLS patches and namesets hook me up in the past and he got in trouble -- direct mandate from MLS is not to sell any All-Star namesets or patches to the public.

I went to the Adidas store in midtown to get my orange goalie jersey personalized with "Johnson", but they didn't have official MLS letters/numbers that weren't a part of another pre-made name set - they would have had to cut up the pre-made name sets which they weren't keen on doing

U90 said they do personalized names with unofficial lettering. Which is essentially the same as saying the will gather around and wipe their assess with my jersey.
Call ahead, but I think Upper 90 would be a better bet. Not sure of the LI one, but the Queens one could probably do it.
