NYCFC Players Wanted Thread

You forgot Nemec, which is interesting, because they are remarkably similar-ish.
I think this guy’s style is nothing like Nemec, though, right? People were saying he also plays wide and tried to get in behind.

Dirty secret is nemec was still like the 3rd/4th best player every time he suited up for us. But fuck, he sucked.

Hard for me to remark on Nemec's "style". Does not compute.

I kind of feel like Berget may be the kind of guy who doesn't use his size as much as we would like him to. I don't see him raising his left arm enough to shield space. It's sort of pegged to his rib cage like a vestigial wing. Mind you I've only watched the highlights. Looks like an odd bird of a player who may be effective in an ugly way.

I’ve yet to watch a clip of him. Just going off what people here say.

He’s certain to disappoint a man whose baseline for strikers is David Villa and Bobby Firmino.

After the playoffs, do you really want any of our players raising their left arm?

Wonder if the rev’s would bite at a transfer for Fagúndez . I think he needs a change of scenery . Wonder if they bite at major allocation , Wallace , 1st round draft pick and 50 percent of future transfer fee .

Seen weirder trades in the league . And if Harrison is to leave us one day he would be perfect replacement .

Berget reminds me of Barry Horne, who had a degree in chemistry.

You must have me confused with some other Asian guy ;)

The Toe The Toe interested to hear your thoughts on this. Playing careers are short. He's been a heck of a pro. There are worse golden handshakes than playing in China for a year or two

I guess I just don't like thinking a player who can still give something to a team in a top-5 league would sell that for a bigger paycheck -- especially after making loads and loads of money throughout his career. But to give financial security to yet another few generations of Mascheranos is nice, as well. To see players go to China for the paycheck and be unhappy isn't something I like to see, personally.

What happened to him while he was in China? Why was he unable to contribute?
He apparently was miserable the moment he got there. He also allegedly was out of shape, overweight, and disinterested. So I guess a vacation in the sense that he didn’t do much work while collecting a massive sum.

Thank you. That’s one way to collect a massive sum before retirement
