Emre Can set for Juve and Pjanic resigned. That means both Khedira and Marchisio will be gone. Both are pure box to box midfielders. I'd take either to slide right into the lineup and be a force in our midfield. I know both players have been floated around here, especially Khedira and both have been linked to MLS. Right now Khedira is eyeing a PL move and Monaco is interested Marchisio. I believe for the right deal we can make one happen. Time to put our big boy pants on.

Also, is there a disaster scale that includes predictabity of the neg outcome? We should work on that. Because I do think it matters, at least subjectively.

No, in that they were crap. But yes, surprising, in that there are 24 teams in that league and Sunderland came in with first year parachute payments which should be enough for any modestly sub-mediocre management to keep them in the top 21.
