NYCFC Training Facility Thread

From the Upper West Side, Google Maps says it would take 31 minutes right now to drive to the site. That's probably shorter than the average NYC commute. From West Village to the Rockland County site, it's 51 minutes by car.

From the Upper West Side to Willets Point, it's 33 minutes by car and 57 by public transit. From West Village it's 39 by car and 52 by public transit.

With that point made, it also could also be initial/temporary grounds. The plans for the site aren't exactly ambitious.
Excuse me.... but on behalf of David Villa, he'd like you to know he can make the drive in 26min.

Yes, but there is direct train service to northern Westchester. Also, to get to Rockland, you have to cross a bridge, which is always a crapshoot.

Put it this way, if I had to live in Rockland and commute to my job in Manhattan, I'd move to another part of the country.

How do you get from Manhattan to Westchester, or in fact anywhere, without crossing a bridge or tunnel?

I looked up the stats today, I was shocked of his 16 shots, 5 have been on goal. I would have thought it would be a lot fewer on frame than that.
I think we may be staring down a perfect example of stats not telling the whole story.
Well this made me look up his stats too. And you're right, no listing for shots in the 200 seats.

Regarding out current facility, this is the first seen in a video that they put up bleachers outside. I guess anyone can sit on them and watch...

Finally got around to the training facility in Rockland County. Doesn't hurt that my daughter is going to soccer camp across the street for the next two weeks.

Looks like some progress has been made but with no construction background I couldn't tell you how far into it they are. Took a couple of pictures from my car. The weather was crappy yesterday so I'll get out one afternoon before pickup to get more pics.

Thanks, but please take an aerial photo next time. I can't tell if they're just clearing the site or if they've dug foundations or started to trench for below grade utilities.

So Patricof said this should be ready by March/April 2018, is that even a possibility?
