NYCFC vs. Opponents - Record

Nice. Might have to make a change from my usual go to font, Georgia

- at least in the week leading up to the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

A sample of Gator below.

If you start doing your line up in that font with your nicknames you might kill Midas real dead
what are you talking about? I just press quote, go to the quick post on the bottom of the page, and type... is there something else you guys are doing? You can just leave it in the rich text editor and it works just fine. lol

Garamond, if I may contribute a font suggestion.
I prefer Garamond 3. Classy, but yet at the same time more relaxed somehow. And the numbers in the small caps version are totally awesome as the descenders go way below the baseline.

Would drive me nuts. I don’t like mis-alignment.

Yes. I have lots of pet peeves. This happens when you’re (mildly) OCD.

What about fixed width vs proportional width fonts? Sans serif fixed fonts.
Width is fine. Never had much about it bother me.

ETA: Wait. I bet fixed width would bother me. I avoid it, so I’ve probably already determined this subconsciously.

Ugly win against Orlando but a W is a W.
Now our overall record against them is even. Only 4 teams have a better head to head record against us. Hopefully we can get NE out of that list as well.

Also, as it stands now, Orlando is the team we have played the most. MLS has been trying hard on this one.

MLS needs to give up on that narrative- the teams are polar opposites of each other in every way save for the fact that we both fired the imposter named Kreis. Orlando’s real rival, from a cultural perspective, is Atlanta.

they like to make "expansion rivalry" a thing, which is bs, because the only cool thing about it is seeing which expansion has been more successful. Other than that, it's not a rivalry at all.

Updating after a Draw at home Vs Vancouver and a W @ Toronto(We keep improving our regular season record against them).

This is great. A couple of interesting notes on this:
  • LAFC and Cincinnati remain the two teams we have not yet beaten (won't get the next chance with LAFC until next year and have yet to play Cincy)
  • Have not lost to LAFC, Colorado, and San Jose
  • We really don't have any dreadful records against anyone
    • Portland and RSL aren't great, but 1 win and 3 losses in that sample size isn't completely terrible
    • The record against Red Bulls has been righted over the last couple of years, though that does get worse if we include USOC matches. And while the record isn't terrible, when we do lose, we tend to lose big, so that GD is ugly as hell
    • Our record against New England isn't terrible, but pretty damn disappointing considering the quality of that team over the last several years
  • We have great records against Montreal, Philly, Chicago (not surprising), and LA Galaxy. The record against LA along with the GD is interesting. We got absolutely hammered that first year, but haven't dropped points to them since.

Great spreadsheet!

The only result that is weird is our home record against NE, because it is based on a large sample size. The other disappointing home records are against good teams and small samples.

OTOH our away record against MTL is also an outlier and with a large sample.

Could we see an update now with all the games since this was last updated? :D

At a glance, I think our home record now includes:
1) A winning record against NE
2) A winning record against Seattle
3) A winning record against Houston.

Sucky thing about this is that it'll take us at least 6 years now just to tie portland at home if we win each year :(
